Balancing Act to Super Hero!

I need to get my ass into gear if I want to drop any fat. I’ve honestly been slacking quiet a bit. I’ve cheated way too often and not been as constant as I could have been. I seem to have a 100% record from Monday to Friday and then slack on the weekends.

I need to change this. I’ve started to Supplement with
Carbolin-19
and if I slack now, I’ll just waste it, so I gotta keep a clean record.

So I have 6 weeks from now till I start SS, so I’m getting my ass into gear!

Upper body day (40 reps for each exercise);

3 x Chest
3 x Back
2 x Shoulders

RKD type 1 day.

Had a pretty great training session today, and diet has been 100%. I’ve been getting an energy crash at around 3:30-4:00 today and yesterday, but I’ve used Spike to combat this.

Where would I be without Spike?!

LR

Today was a good day. There was no training today, but extra eating now I’ve replaced the shake with a meal. It was a pretty good feeling to get that extra meal.

There was another energy crash today, but this time it was later in the day, around 7ish, but I didn’t need the Spike due to it being a day off.

Catch you tomorrow!

I’m getting a little frustrated, especially after todays training session. I’m having serious problems with stretching after workouts. The standard run of the mill stretches which are supposed to be the norm don’t seem to work for me, and the tight muscles are pissing me off.

Training was tough, as always! BUt I nearly shit myself today. After training, my hands started to turn a blueish grey colour and started to go cold. They were like this for a few minutes before going back to normal. I nearly had a heart attack!

Training was later then usual, I’ve had my protein shake and am about to have dinner.

L8r!

No training today. Slipped a little on the diet, but I’ve already fixed it. The macro totals will be wrong, but total calories will be the same.

Time to put in another supplement order me thinks! Time to get some Alpha-GPC, Curcumin 500, and Carbolin 19!

Let me know how the supplements work out. I’m not particularly set on getting any of them, but if they produce results, I’ll definitely give them a try.

Well just reading through the article discussions on the 2 new products has showed that they are both working well for the people trying them.

The Alpha GPC has been a big hit with everyone that’s tried it so far except one person, and that’s because he was taking over the recommended dose.

My intended use for the A-GPC is going to be a little different though, I’m not going to use it straight away. When I start SS, I’m going to keep on going till my own gains start to slow down or stall, and that’s when I’ll add in the A-GPC.

With the Curcumin, a lot of people have said that they’ve noticed an instant effect on muscle and joint pain, and some have reported a mild euphoric feeling. So that seems to be an instant one as well.

I personally haven’t felt any pain, joint, muscle or otherwise so far, so I’m not sure I’ll be using this at full dose. I’ll probably use it 1 cap a day and if I do start feeling any pain I’ll up the dose.

This one is just an insurance policy for me. Being as it will be my first ever attempt at a strength/bulk program, I’m probably going to start out with my calories on the slightly lower side when I start Carb Cycling (H= 3057 M= 2805 L= 2545 Calories) on SS. I may not even use Medium days.

So I’m only going to use this while I’m still tweaking things and finding my feet. I’ve already started using it, and will probably carry on till the end of SS. If it works really well for me, I might make it one of my daily staples.

So I tried a new protein for the first time today. It’s a 78% Micellar Casien protein that’s a bit more expensive then the one I usually buy, but for the quality it should be well worth it.

I totally mis-read the label while trying it earlier and almost choked on it by not using enough water. The protein I usually use takes 150ml water to 1 scoop, but this one is 250-300ml.

I could pretty much tell the difference in quality straight away, so this’ll be part of my permanent stack.

I think I’m sold on this one. I wonder if it’ll help with my recent issues re: my right knee, right IT band, right hip, right shoulder… basically, the right half of my body.

It most probably will. I mean it’s designed for that right?

And at the price, you can’t go wrong, even if your just going to experiment with it for a few months.

I decided to work out today. I wasn’t scheduled to, but I was just bored in the afternoon so I decided to go. I didn’t go overboard because I have to workout tomorrow, but I hit all major body parts for a few sets in high rep ranges, so it was more of an indurance workout.

LR

Workout was hard but great today. This is the second week now back on a split instead of bullshit TBT! I’m loving it. Today was chest and biceps. I felt like I really pushed it, and I really felt it.

Weigh in numbers were good as well. Much better then previous weeks. I think I’ve worked out this whole carb-up thing! I’ll wait till my end of week numbers till I’m 100% sure though. Who knew that this would be so hard to perfect.

Back to my usual type 1 diet!

LR

Workout was brutal today, I loved it! I don’t know why I ever abandoned split training in favour of TBT! TBT is fucking horseshit!

My body is aching all over, I’ve never felt better!

On another note, I’ve had some trouble sleeping recently so I’ve decided to give Z-12 a go. Another supplement that’s just been sitting around in my bedroom for about a year.

I tried 1 cap on Monday, felt nice and chilled and fell asleep. Tried 1 yesterday but it didn’t have the same effect, but I didn’t have an empty stomach either. I’m going to try 2 tonight, but I’ve just now finished eating a 380g rump steak.

Yes I cheated on my diet, but it’s only steak right? What harm can a load of protein do?

LR

Oh man! I’ve fucking destroyed myself! I’m having troubles right now, even holding my body upright is a chore right now, even holding my head up.

I don’t think I’ll have problems getting to sleep tonight!

BTW tonight was Back and Triceps.

LR

No training today, but still feeling a little fatigued from yesterday.

I went in to the gym early this morning to get a 7 site caliper body fat test done today. The guy that owns the gym got some new calipers the other day and is testing everyone for free, I said why not!

These calipers looked like they could take readings on an Elephant! Harpden or something like that, I can’t really remember the name of them.

So, as I knew I was getting a Caliper reading done today, I decided to take my own BF% at home on my scales just to compare!

My Scales: 21% on the dot!

Calipers : 16.3%

Massive difference huh? Unfortunately follow up readings will not be free :frowning:

LR

Shock day today, I thought I was dying this morning. I had very little energy, all muscles were aching and yesterday was an off day. To be honest, for the first part of the day I was perplexed. I even thought I might have swine flu!

Then I decided that I would ingest some carbs in case I had overdone it in the Mon, Tues training sessions and all my body glycogen was depleted. I was right. All I needed was some carbs, and I was back to normal!

Today was supposed to be legs and shoulders, but after the legs workout, I just couldn’t go on! So tomorrow will be shoulders…

LR

So I tried my own version of Thibs’ workout protocol just using some stuff I had around the house, and I have to say I felt pretty great during and after the workout. I felt a big pump in muscles. I can’t wait to try it with all the proper ingredients.

Workout today was Chest + Biceps!

As you can see, I’m failing in keeping a proper log on here. I’m just keeping it in my own diary/workout journal that I take to the gym.

LR

Today I trained Back and Triceps, it was supposed to be yesterday, but I had to many things to get done yesterday, that I had to move the workout to today. Workout was a little easier then expected, I have to make sure I really up the intensity by a lot next time!

The
Carbolin 19
is working. I know I haven’t even finished a months worth yet, but I can really see a difference already. I thinking of leaving the Curcumin till a later day when I actually need it, and put all of my current Biotest supplement budget into
Alpha-GPC
and
Carbolin 19
.

That’s it for now! I got Legs tomorrow!

LR

I know I haven’t posted in a while, mainly due to the fact I didn’t really stick to my rigid plan I had set out for myself.

Bushy told me not to go onto a strength program after the re-hab I’ve been doing so I decided to move straight onto Hypertrophy and I can fit in the strength training later in the year.

So I did 1 month of regular hypertrophy training, on a normal bodypart split.

I’ve just finished HSS-100 for the Chest. I have to say, I’m impressed, I’ve never experienced such complete chest training before. I’ve noticed some growth during the program, but Thibs said that most growth will occur after I drop the volume.

I’ve put on a bit too much fat during this, so I need to cut back the Kcals a bit. I think I may start using my Se7en soon.

LR

So I’ve finished CT’s shoulder specialisation program, and found it went well. Not as good as the Chest and Back HSS-100.

On Jan 4th, I start a 16 week cut, using a Carb Cycling approach as found in the Troponin Nutrition Macro handbook, I’m sure it’ll go well. Of course if the Carb Cycling doesn’t work as well as I hope, I’ll be trying something else.

That’ll take me till the end of April. Aim, to get as lean as possible. Hopefully all day abbs! If not, I’ll do a 1 month maintenance diet through May, and carry on my cut from June till I reach the desired effect.

Hopefully this will drastically improve my insulin sensitivity and my nutrient partitioning. I’ll check in with my photo’s on Sunday.
