“I have never seen a greater monster or miracle than myself.”–MICHEL EYGUEM DE MONTAIGNE
“yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil.”

“Though I do not believe that a plant will spring up where no seed has been, I have great faith in a seed. Convince me that you have a seed…and I wam prepared to expect wonders.”
-Henry David Thoreau
“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his life and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.”
-James Michener
“There is no improvement without change.”
We remember…
10% of what we hear,
15% of what we see,
20% of what we hear and see,
40% of what we discuss with others,
80% of what we put into practice and experience,
95% of what we attempt to teach others
Winner’s Creed
If you think you are beaten, you are; If you think you dare not, you don’t;
If you would like to win, but think you can’t it’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost; For out in the world we find success begins with a person’s faith;
It’s all in the state of mind.
Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster hand;
They go to the one who trusts in God and thinks, “I can.”
Cutting and pasting doesn’t work too well on this thing.
I will try it again.

(I’m not positive it’s his, but I read it on his site)
For me the best sports quote ever came from the German director of Soccer after they had only just managed to beat the USA 1-0,in the 2002 World Cup Quarter finls.
Asked to comment about the German Teams performance he said.
“If you put all the players in a sack and punched it, whoever you hit would of deserved it”
Tell me that is not a quote for the ages!
Another one from Nitzche - “where there is a will there is a way.”
