Heh, it looks like you’re almost dead on with where I am numbers-wise. I’m doing a similar program as well, except I’m using first set last plus another 1-2 accessory for 3 sets instead of 5x10 BBB. I’ve found that at my age 5x10 tends to wreck my recovery, but hopefully it will work for you. I’m in to see if how long I can keep pace with a young pup![/quote]
Yeah, not sure how long I could keep up 5 x 10 on lower body lifts. I am on my second cycle of 5 x 10, then planning to move to 5 x 5 (at something like first set last percentages), then 5 x 3, then 5 x 1. Basically classic high volume/low intensity to low volume/high intensity. Very similar to one of the BBB challenges in Beyond. I’ll have to check out you log for ideas. I always like seeing what people are doing with 5/3/1 since there are so many ways to make it your own.

I’ll probably try some of the challenges once I stop making progress with the straight program. I’m actually doing the volume/intensity thing in a way as well, but with less volume (3x5 on the FSL sets) and 5’s and 1’s week being where I go for rep PR’s, and 3’s week I go for intensity with joker sets of 3. It’s working extremely well for me so far, so I’m not messing with much until I start to stall out.

If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.
Sounds similar to SVR:
3’s week emphasize PR set
5’s week emphasize volume
1’s week emphasize jokers/heavy singles
I did that is the past with 5’s Pro for main assistance. It worked will and I was very motivated to train. I like emphasizing different things on different weeks. Changes things up a bit and keeps it fresh.
Done with BBB 5x10, moving to BBB 5x5 and planning to use something like FSL/SSL percentages. Also bumping Squat TM down since I have struggled to straight cycles.
