Back and Forth with Doctors to Get Treatment

Do you have any other feedback on them or advice you can give me? From everything I’ve read it sounds like defy is the way to go but I don’t want to throw away all the money I just spent. So I’ll probably ride it out with them for the initial period

Yeah I had an initial phone call with defy, but I already spent a bunch of $$ with entourage so I’m going to give them a try for the initial 6 months and make a change at that point! I figure No use wasting a bunch of money away I already spent

I definitely want hear about your experience. I only ever hear about Defy on here, I dunno why though. It’ll be good to hear about other experiences with a different service as well.

The way I hear systemlord and others talk about Defy, it’s a great service. The representative narrative about Defy seems to reflect the idea of getting filet mignon for the price of a cheeseburger.

I have yet to hear anything positive or negative about other services on here…of course a few guys will chime in about it being better to avoid telemedicine but they leave it at that…and no one has said anything negative about Defy either however…since it is made out to be nothing but 100% perfect though…I get skeptical

In fact, systemlord you seem to know more about Defy than anyone!
I feel like I might get a 10 out of 10 answer but, what are some of the drawbacks of Defy? Is there anything in the continental US that you think another company in the same field does better? Anything at all?
@systemlord

Decisions are made based off labs and symptoms or lack thereof, the labs paint a picture only after the right questions are asked, the problem is most doctors aren’t asking the right questions. You will hear negatives about Defy from those who aren’t patients, some prefer face to face doctor visits.

There are a lot of other members on other forums who also use Defy Medical, Excelmale sees the medical director Dr Saya visit from time to time to assist members when he has time. You’re considered lucky if you get 10 minutes with your sick care doctor, when was the last time you spent 45 minutes with your doctor going over everything?

If there is a better telemedicine clinic better than Defy Medical, I haven’t heard of it. Sure I could have gone with a local clinic, but it would have cost me a lot more money.

Agreed. I used to have a doctor that would all but solve the world’s problems with his patients. We all loved him till the day he left the practice he was in.
No doctor typically spends that kind of time with their patients without a lot of $$$.
What strikes me as odd is how on f******* earth can anyone say ANYTHING about a service they’ve never used…better yet, why would anyone say anything negative about Defy if they’re not patient’s, what’s their motivation on attacking a service without trying it or having any experience with it!?
What’s your take systemlord? Why would people do this? What am I missing?
I’ve not heard anything but miracle recommendations about Defy on here…nothing bad…ever. But then I’ve not been around the community that long.
I’ve never seen a service more promoted without incentive anywhere.

Hell, when I told the sales-rep of the new service I am using that I was on a T-forum, he offered to credit my treatment with big discounts if I referred other people to the service. I flat out told him I’d be transparent about the service.
What kind of selfish f******* assh*** would justify to himself that they should advertise their medical service unbiasedly for personal gain!
These are peoples health we’re talking about here. Like money doesn’t already play an extremely corrupting vein that’s fractured medicine in general. Who among us would have the lowlife gaul to capitalize on others misfortune without offering a fair review of a services ups and downs?!..especially after knowing how much money has made this such a difficult field to research and an affordable service to access.
I swear to god some people are hypocrites. Drives me f******* apes*** to think people on T-forums would do each other like that for personal gain.

Sorry about the tirade dude, some things just get me super heated!

To be clear systemlord, I don’t believe you are one of the people that would make referrals to a company for financial gain without being completely transparent about it in every post you suggest them as a service.
I know you would state if you had a conflict of interest if you got something for advertising their services. I definitely don’t think you’re like that.
You’ve got your heart in this from what I gather and I can’t see you doing some low-life Shit like that.

I hadn’t thought of what the sales-rep said until just now.

Look if those guys turn out to be that good, and I reccomend the service, I’m sure as hell not benefiting from a recommendation and I’m going to tell them what they will and won’t get.

Entourage was very prompt in responding to me initially. The shipping took 2 weeks for my first order. They are very busy so if you wait until you are emailed telling you it’s time to make an appointment to speak with the doctor it will be a month before you can get a spot. I was sent adex and directed to start 1mg a week even though my initial labs (already on trt through my GP) show my E2 at 17. I didn’t take the adex. I spoke to the Dr for the first time several weeks after starting with them and when I ask about the adex he said don’t take any until next bloodwork in 10 weeks. After the bloodwork I do not get contacted by the Dr. I reach out to them (estrogen was140) and ask for advice. They say lower dose and start adex. ( I don’t do this because my free T is only 1 point out of range and the estrogen test is the wrong test) The estrogen test was total estrogen not E2. I say “you ordered the wrong test” they emailed back “oh yeah, you’re right. Test again in 6 weeks”. I called labcorp and ask them to test E2 sensitive and they say “no problem, we keep your blood for 7 days no need to come back in”. The results are E2=11.8. I ask the Dr on Friday what do you advise in light of this new information. No response yet. After my 6 month contract I will find a better Dr. They are good if you want a Dr to give you meds and let you figure it out, but I can do that on my own and save $100 a month.

This is exactly the situation I was in when I went to Entourage

hmycl thank you for your experience! It’s great to hear your first hand account of what this clinic did and didn’t do.
Those are great details! I’ve been looking for that kind of information. There are probably other reviews on here somewhere.
I’m just glad to get a contrast.
I’m hoping ijsnowdude235 has a good experience since he’s already invested in the clinic.
How long ago did you try Entourage?

It is so hard to find a good PCP! God, my old doctor was just straight up awesome. The Nurse Practitioner left behind was sadly not very educated and very overwhelmed by my T scores.

Thanks for all the feedback here really great information for me to know. Yeah I will stick with them for the 6 month requirement since I’ve paid, but from everything I’ve heard it sounds like defy is the way to go for telemedicine. Thanks again!

I’ll continue to keep this feed updated as things change with entourage. I’m hoping they have the sense not to put me on Adex initially since my latest bloods were 133 TT and <5 E2

My first appointment with my endocrinologist was 1.5 hours. Very thorough and no sense of rushing me out the door. I don’t think all docs operate the same way and there are some better than others. Just saying

Wow below 5pg/mL E2! I think that’s dangerously low. Do your joints hurt?

Sometimes they ache when I’m being really active. I still manage to workout 5_6 times a week. I’m not sure what to do about it honestly, It’s obvious my body just isn’t producing estrogen really but since kaiser won’t do anything…

I probably won’t need an AI for a while or at all when I’m on trt but we’ll see

It also wasn’t the sensitive E2 test* so it is probably not <5 but i would need the right test

I think sensitive E2’s generally read higher because of possible other hormones interfering, don’t remember why people advocated Sensitive E2’s. highpull has some pretty interesting studies that state Sensitive E2’s are about as accurate as regular E2 tests. Regardless <5 E2 seems pretty damn low. Of course I’m sensitive to low E2’s at 15pg/mL

Update on labs from entourage. Total and free test pending but they will be low again with an LH of 1

LH: 1 aiu/ml range 2-12

FSH 3.3 range 1.5-12

Low LH is confirmation testosterone production is low.
