I didn’t get that it was focused solely on women, but it jumped around a little between couples, regions and feelings of happiness and satisfaction.
The thing is, happiness and satisfaction can be two different things experienced from entirely different activities, even in the same person, let alone an entire population or different countries.
I derive a sense of satisfaction from fabricating large industrial systems and implements. The same thing can be utterly repulsive to other people, where as I am absolutely miserable in communication heavy professions.
So that stuff can be pretty tricky when the author tried mixing and matching to create such broad conclusions about nebulous and highly individual experiences.
