I had to use my belt on the 225 & 245 front squats which was a bit premature…but it felt a lot better and my back thanks me. Can’t wait to bench next!!

Instead of elliptical I hit the tires with an 8lb sledge for 4 sets of 20 hits. Much more gratifying than fucking cardio. lol.
The gym scale said 208lbs, which is about 4lbs lighter then my scale said 3wks ago (yes i know it’s a diff. scale…but still) so I’m gonna have carbs post workout for a few more weeks. I’m going on vacation nice and plump.
After my sub-par bench day my front delts and neck are KILLING me.

i can understand my delts b/c i probably use lots of delts’tris when benching…but man my neck is STIFF today.

I think that I will be doing a USPF meet in NH this February which will give me just about 15wks to train after my vacation. If another meet in Feb comes up that isn’t USPF I’ll look into that only because I haven’t lifted in USPF and don’t know what to expect. I’d like to find an AAU meet, so we’ll see how things change but, February is the month I’d like to compete.
I also think that for that training cycle I will switch to WS4SB so I can cycle off pulling every week and get some bench speed work done.

One quick note. I will be doing my deadlift max day tomorrow, and that will conclude my 5-3-1 cycle. I can’t hit the OHP max day b/c I will be away at a funeral and will have a few weeks that I will be able to run two-a-days before my week off vacation in DR.
When I come back I will be starting a WS4SB template and will be sticking with that until the end of Feb. for my meet.

When I switch it up to WS4SB I’ll use our new camera more. Thankfully I didn’t have it the other night…that 300 was a bit ugly. lol.

Felt really good this morning (10am workout time) doing all this with just 1 big meal in me.
-Last Post with training results. I might/might not keep a log for my WS4SB training in a few weeks.
These two cycles really helped me get used to moving up SLOWLY and PROPERLY with weights and keeping my ego in check. I think that will really help me in the future.
Will be a shame if you dont keep a long will be intresting to see how you gear WS4SB towards a meet. Keep up the good work!
