Average Man Stats

Seconded on the ego boost.

The problem with that isn’t the stats, but with the “average.” You take one guy who trains and stays in solid over all shape, add his numbers to those of 3 random people off the street who probably don’t do much of anything to stay in shape, divide by four and that’s what you’d get.

And these are the guys having sex 1.5 times a week?

lold

Well if that’s not an excuse for weak sedentary people to maintain that lifestyle I don’t know what is.

I’m happy though, considering at 15 I’m in twice as good shape as an average 20 year old man.

That was interesting stuff but seems pretty accurate. Also yeah unless your some old man, if you are not surpassing some of those lifts in year or two you should reevaluate what your doing.

Also this back to back was pretty funny
"The part of a man’s body that’s the biggest turn-on for the average woman: His butt
The part the average guy spends the most time trying to develop: His chest "

Thought most men try to develop biceps the most, guess was wrong.
So powerlifters are the sexiest, Posterior chain baby!! lol

the average 20 year old is in college drinking and partying all the time, so thats not that big of a deal.

On a side note, I must be like the Incredible Hulk compared to the average man.

HULK SMASH!!!

+1

Wow, I am stronger than all of them, and yet, I am fifteen.

Although this was an ego boost, it is still pretty pathetic.

Hmm… It’s possible I could be training wrong.

I don’t need a fucking website to tell me that I am above average!

Definitely.

Average people… I hated being average. Thats probably what drew me to training / military.

i will never in my life compare myself to those standards.

Because what’s better than being average? being standardized.

AVERAGE MAN (spectrum) :

* height = 5'8 - 5'10
* weight = 160 - 180 lbs.
* bench press (max) = 135 - 185 lbs.
* deadlift (max) = 185 - 235 lbs.
* squat (max) = 185 - 235 lbs.
* bicep curl (max double) = 60 - 100 lbs.
* bicep curl (max single) = 30 - 50 lbs.

To those of you who lift weights (and are NOT genetic freaks), don’t let the bastards drag you down. Just keep on keeping on with the weights, fuck all the rest!

It doesn’t take much to be a “genetic freak” now-a-days.
Jeezus H. Christ. According to these statistics, I’m an average man. Does that mean I’m supposed to pee standing up?

When I started lifting that’s about where I was. Is this supposed to be average guy or average guy who goes to gym? Not that there would probably be a difference.

I’m half a foot taller than the average man. I must be a genetic freak.

This made me lol. I immediately thought of some gym moderator (elitefts.com’s Jim Wendler comes to mind) walking around the gym, approaching guys half-assing it, then berating and throwing them out.

I have to agree that there’s no chance in hell an average man can do 235lbs on a squat. Even 185 seems a pretty far stretch.
