Thank you. Just trying to not suck.

Loving this thread so far. I LOVE how well people are responding to this thread! Excellent work Chris. I know this idea has been bandied around for a while. Good job pulling the trigger.

I will post my log along with pics, training and injury history later after work. I really want to become more active in posting in the logs section, as I think that has the greatest impact on community growth.

Here is the last 16 weeks of training/eating to get a little better. Weight is 160 in the first pic, 175 in the last pic.

First shot is one day post BB contest, so its tough to compare with the slightly “fatter” pictures.

Followed CT’s Indigo Hypertrophy routine for the first 12 weeks, then the Strength Program for the last 4.

08-04-2012 Front Squats @ 275lbs.

Here is a video of me deadlifting in June, I am really not sure how much weight is on it. My main goals are to get stronger.

Also, here is a link to my log. Feel free to take a look and maybe post in there.

The fact you have kept your sense of humor makes the funny shit you post even more funny given that.

God damn son, good for you.

Thanks man. My kids are goofballs just like me. When we all get going it drives my wife nuts. LOL.

I like what lifting does for my body, but one of the things it doesn’t necessarily do is make me look like I lift. But perhaps if I kicked it up a notch…

Still, I’m in my 40s so I’m pretty happy altogether.

Edit…oops, sideways pic. Not sure what to do about that. I suppose the best thing would be to shower and go to work.

And lastly, I really don’t think my arms are that noodly looking in real life. I hope not, anyway. Shit. I think I’ll start kicking it up a notch immediately.

Try this again.

Fail, Doc.

Are you a Texans fan?

I know you have the logo, but have not seen you in the NFL thread so thought I would ask.

I am indeed. Born and raised in Cypress.

I started watching with the 07 season when I came to college. That Patriots-Giants superbowl was still the best game I have ever seen.

Yet I am one of those fans that does not follow trades, knows relatively little about football, and only plays fantasy cause his friends do. It gives me something to talk shit about. However, this year I need to step it up. I want to be a contender in my league this year. So it is time to buckle down.

I just love watching the sheer athleticism displayed by the players. I love the thrill and anticipation. I love how everything can go wrong/right without warning and how a single play can COMPLETELY turn a game around.

I was in Cypress yesterday with the in-laws.

Well at least you are not a Packers fan and born and raised in Texas, like some people I know.

Heresy.

Why have you not cleansed them with flame?

Cause he is a decent guy even though he lacks the ability to appreciate his home state.

Out of respect for Chris who devotes a lot of time giving advice to people starting out.

Looking good, Powerpuff. I’m impressed by your lean legs.

Competitive o-lifter checking in. Compete in the 105kg (~231 pound) class, walking around at about 109-110 right now (~240-242). About 5’11 tall if that makes a difference. This summer hasn’t been spectacular for training, but here’s some stuff I did at a crossfit box last weekend, snatch 245 pounds for a triple and a power clean/power clean/paused front squat/jerk/jerk complex with 315 (stupid crossfit only has bumpers in pounds).

Maybe not my best work, you can see a little bit of a bounce in the hole during the “pause” and the first jerk was a little spongy and shaky, but it was the first time I’d paused the squat in that complex so I’m okay with it.

^ Awesome that is some of what I am working on, no where near where you are really cool work.
