This was pretty bad. Good combo of conditioning and lower body work.
Thank you sir. Log work is finally clicking a bit. However, thereās still a biiiiig disparity between my 1RM and my higher rep strength.
For 175āers, the world record is 302 for a log press. Maybe something to look forward to if I can keep my weight down?
I may be talking out of my butt, but Iāve used a log less than 10 times, and have only trained overhead movements for a couple years. Regardless of what happens, its a cool goal to shoot for. On the other hand, the deadlift record for LWās is 705
Youāre right, youāve got a solid log for a 175er. 260 was the weight for reps at nationals in that class and I donāt know how many, but a lot zeroād it. At the same time though, winner must have gotten like 4-6 reps.
Cutting back on my training tonnage (especially upper body) has helped a lot with recent progress. I like how these can feel difficult while keeping the load low. Also, seems to be a decent TUT movement because if you do any part too fast youāll hit yourself in the head
Conventional deadlift
30 band rows between each set
EMOM 435 for 10 singles
Basically straight from rows into another deadlift. Lats were smoked, actually made the deadlifts pretty rough even with it being a low percentage
Neutral grip chins with 3 ct hang between reps
Handstands between sets

3 mile hike up a steep motorcycle trail wearing a 50 lb vest, 50 lb pack, and steel toed boots. Tried to keep pace with my dad, I think he took my added load as a bit of a challenge. Didnāt go well.
