Weight on cleans is going up :smiley:

If this makes sense, things feel lighter. Like less of a load on my body. Maxes haven’t skyrocketed, but everything is more comfortable. Also, for me cleans seem to be an awesome warm up that I’m less likely to skip.

Fair enough; I was wondering if you noticed that your DL/Front Squats felt better or any upper back size was added from all the cleans.

I like the IDEA of cleans, but I don’t enjoy doing them. So unless I can get some people who strongly recommend them for one reason or another, I doubt I’ll be adding them into my program anytime soon!

Front squats and RDLs feel great. Much more stable in my upper back. When I get back to pulling more from the floor, I’ll let you know how deadlifts have been affected.

Ordered a weighted vest. Planning on running a training plan with primarily bodyweight exercises as assistance, while also adding in more cardio. I have a couple of long treks/hikes I’d like to do this summer, and I’d like to be better conditioned for those. I plan on carrying the grand majority of the gear to accommodate those coming with me.

I was like this with cleans and snatches before I tore a tendon in my wrist. It gets everything primed and fired before you deadlift or ohp for me.

Not sure what is happening, but I weighed 202 lbs this morning. I was 172.8 after a light water cut Mid March. My body is weird.

That’s intense. Same scale, same time of day, same conditions, etc?

My weight can fluctuate a solid 5-10lbs overnight, but not 30…

Different scale and I’m not cutting water, but 30 is a lot. I usually weigh between 178-185 on this scale.

Running on 1.5 hours of sleep because I was playing the new Zelda…worth it. Was supposed to squat but I forgot my gym bag, and i didnt want to squat in my cowboy style workboots. Decided to do the mantathalon challenge thingy that was posted recently.

5/8 Upper

Woke up this morning upset about how little I overhead press. Actual feelings of disappointment and anger. My life must be pretty good to be worried about such trivial things.
