Alright, back to the grind.
Break is over, and the crazy schedule begins tomorrow. I was planning to go intense on working out on my time off work, but to be honest, I didnt. Instead, I went intense on my social life. Seeing old friends, visiting family, fishing trips, and a few too many nights with a few too many drinks. And I dont regret a moment of it. Some great memories made, a much needed decompression after a fairly strenuous duty assignment, I think my headspace is miles better for the relaxation. Play times over, back to the long work hours, and with that, a more disciplined home life.
My fitness always goes best when I am on a strict schedule, and I am gearing myself up to make the most of this. Next 3 months of programming are all done. Made myself a diet plan for the foreseeable future, meal preps are all set.
Meal 1: Monster Mash ALA Stan Efferding
Meal 2: Chicken thighs, rice, carrots
Meal 3: Chicken Breast tacos on keto tortillas with guac and lowfat sour cream
Meal 4: Protein Shake with 1 serving fruit, fairlife, protein powder.
Should come out to a tad over 2000 calories a day, which is a good space for me to be dropping weight.
Honestly, a bit nervous for this new job. Not in terms of capability, I am pretty good at what I will be doing, this position plays to my strengths. But 12 hour shifts+ security+Commute, mainly 7 days in a row, rotating shift work… thats going to be rough. Ive done similar, but only ever on deployment, never when I was home still trying to handle family life. Feeling very selfish with my personal time, really trying to maximize moments with my wife, especially since I am most likely headed straight into deployment after this position. Its going to be a grind. A doable one, but a grind nonetheless.
Here we go.
