Atheists I Bet You're Bricking Yourselves

pretty debunked with this video right here

Is this the same God that allowed the Holocaust and genocides?

Just wondering, because if it’s the same God then he obviously doesn’t give a flying fuck about us.
This prob the weakest argument from atheists I’ve ever heard: “Why does God let this and thaaat happen, lost my house, my wife, my job, blah blah?” Yeah right lil’ weasel, don’t believe in personal responsibility.

fuching bananas

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Yeaahhh…as an atheist myself I hate when that argument is used as well. Pretty weak IMO.

How is my argument involving the Holocaust, etc, a weak argument? No one’s adressed it.

The standard answer from the religious side is that MAN HAS FREE WILL. Well, if God created man then God surely doesn’t give a rat’s ass about MAN as he sits in heaven and watches his creation heap tragedy upon tragedy upon themselves. Let’s see - God is powerful enough to craft humanity (as well as to design the banana) yet he sits aside as his creation destroys itself. (And how about the ability to REASON that “god” gave us. Funny how we have reason but can’t use it to explain his existence, that we must believe on faith.)

To DRE THE HATCHET - you had to resort to name calling to bolster your argument. An intelligent person would RE-READ my statement and address it. I specifically stated the holocaust and genocide, not losing one’s job or personal responsibility.

I used to be real religious up until college when I wisened up and finally realized that it’s nothing more than mythology.

Anyway, for those that don’t have the blinders of religion on and are wondering how I’ve filled the void in my life since there is no god - OBJECTIVISM.

That’s all I’ve gotta say - I should know better than to waste my time with EXISTENCE of GOD discussions.

what a crock of shit.
to get a balanced diet, you can’t live on bananas.
why aren’t cows easy to peel and seperate by hand into steaks?
how about the thousands of other fruits, nuts and vegetables that are so hard to eat?
we all know how nutritious coconuts are for their oil, flesh, water and milk is.
Why do we need to smash the shit out of them or hack them open?
why don’t all the other fruits tell us when they are ripe???

You just rephrased your argument here, how’s that any different. YK, I really don’t have any problem with atheists. However, this argument that you and many others use shows a distorted view on religion in general.

The Christian religion, as you might know, talks a lot about life after death, so the main focus is not on this world and making everything just perfectt here. This view would be another example of a typical quick fix society: “What can religion do for ME? Solve all MY earthly problems? I pay my tithing, so now I expect to live a perfect, safe and prosperous life! It’s all about the here and now anyways, right?!”.

All I’m saying is that Christians usually have a more humble approach regarding blessings and burdens in this life, a perspective atheists don’t have and therefore misunderstand the whole concept of religion as being about catering to one’s personal needs instead of glorifying the creator for making us in the first place.

Edit: Concerning your last post:

-So far God’s creation hasn’t destroyed itself, despite all the tragedy and mishaps we’re still kicking and I wouldn’t neccessarily say that EVERYTHING’s f-ed up, that would be both pessimistic and unrealistic.
-Since when was faith about REASON? See, that’s another misunderstanding. It’s a character test, because if it were EASY or SIMPLE to believe, everybody would go to heaven, right?

  • If you were offended by the term weasel, I offer my apologies!
-The Holocaust and Armenian Genocide are indeed horrible examples of the tyranny of evil men, which have been around since ancient times. I’m not a huge believer in this whole “satan, flames blah blah”- doctrine but doesn’t it sound REASONable that besides a good force, evil forces also exist? Why? If only I knew…
Btw, the same argument of this world not being the “main stage” but more of a character test applies here, too.

Wow its all so clear now everything makes sense.

But wait, what about the tube worms that live on steam vents at the bottom of the marianas trench 7 miles below the surface of the ocean. How do they fit into my hands.

And the original video in the thread isn’t funny, it’s fucking scary when you think about that many people REALLY think like these dudes.
this is existencial annoyment. Really really annoying, the most annoying thing possible
maybe that’s why people invented religion

Saveski your argument is weak because your bringing up a complaint that people have had for ever.

“If there is a god why does he let all this bad stuff happen, he must not care”

Give me a break,im not religous nor do I believe in god but what I do understand with religion and faith is that god wants us to be good people and if we follow his lead we will go to heaven.

So to say why does god allow these things to happen doesnt make sense, it peoples decisions in life that god looks for.

I’ve seen this before, was sure it was a pisstake. However I just looked up Kirk Cameron and now I’m confused??

Where’s that one where some other guy opens the jar of peanut butter and thinks that if evolution is correct some animal should jump out?

Here’s the peanut butter one.

I wanted a T-Rex to jump out of the jar and bite his head off once he opened it.

I SINCERELY hope this first video was a joke. Got nothing against any camp, be they atheists or believers, but there’s always a few on both sides who are abdicating all common sense with the inept blindness and lack of critical judgement they show in the haste they have of justify their beliefs.

Godly given or evolve, our intelligence would be better put if we tried to better our selves through any possible means instead of bickering about who’s right and wallow in gloat that (insert religion here) holds the truth…

This guy’s got some good points

So does this guy

I do not know if you are a beginning Atheist debater, but if you have not gotten an answer to why this happens (you happen to know part of the answer yourself, good job) then you need to read up on some books.
