Not exactly a redressing of the big rock question. Moreso “Are things that seem impossible to us possible to God, because we lack the ability to understand things (such as the concept of a highest number)”
There are things that, as far as we know are impossible for God, like sin for instance. God cannot sin, cannot lie, cannot be deceived, cannot fail at anything He earnestly desires and cannot violate His own nature fr instance.
And cannot let anyone into heaven who has not accepted the great sacrifice of his son, Jesus Christ.
Magicpunch wrote:

Yeah as long as it’s just pork, can’t blame you there, as that’s easy.

He’s still capable of both. When some people walk away from their faith they mistakenly think that because they no longer believe that God is no longer there. Reminds me of a two year old who hides his face and he thinks you can’t see him because he can no longer see you. Don’t get me wrong here the difference in intelligence between God and myself is far, far greater than the difference between a 2 year old and an adult. As God is the infinite source of wisdom.

It is easier when you can put God in a box. Most atheist that I’ve talked to cannot wrap their arms around something so large, but no one can. That’s where faith comes in. And the Bible is filled with scripture which speaks to his omnipotents.
Btw. God can’t lie, you say - what if he lied to, say, another god to protect some dude who hadn’t done something wrong? A kind of good lie.
Once again the Bible is very clear that there are no other Gods.

Really?

You mean the thread where I built a solid model for the theory of evolutionary morality without knowing that that theory already existed?

Or, do you mean the one where I didn’t agree with you, so I must not make sense?

Look, you popped in to this thread and you have no idea of the conversation between the two parties involved. All you know is one of them is an atheist and that’s the guy you want to side with. Your about as transparent as a shiny new piece of glass. But I think I know how I can help you better understand this.

In other words, everyone has to have the same religion and religious views as you or else they will be punished for all eternity when they die.

Accurate?

So it boils down to that jews and muslims will burn in all eternity.

Thank. you.

You can dress it up all you want Tirib, the fact remains your religion teaches that the only way to avoid eternal punishment is to follow your religion.

If your religion was true, IMO, it wouldn’t have to resort to threats.

Depends who you ask.

Christian religions 1:
Everyone is going to hell that doesn’t belong to my particular religion, including other so-called Christians who don’t share my particular interpretation of our holy book.

Christian religions 2:
Everyone that believes in Jesus will be saved, even if they don’t belong to my particular religion. Everyone else, no matter how much good they do, will be forever damned.

Christian religions 3:
Everyone that follows the principle of love taught by Jesus will be saved, even if they don’t currently understand that he is their Savior and the origin of the good they do. People who practice hate, regardless of whether or not they recognize Jesus, will be damned.

All believe in the same holy book, yet they disagree vehemently on what is actually required for salvation, because they all interpret it differently. It’s about faith, after all, but if someone’s faith leads them to a contradictory conclusion, that is only because it is a “false” faith.

This is what you get when you encourage people to believe in what they want to be true, instead of having reliable, repeatable evidence for what actually is true.

This was explained to you maybe 3 times. Human beings are flawed. Just as there are different interpretations to the constitution, but I don’t see anyone blaming our forefathers. Nor do people run around trying to say that the US constitution has no merit - Well some on the far left do that, but I’m talking about relevant Americans.
