Sick stuff. Mirin the consistent heavy training. I feel like a grandpa compared to you.

Meh your light stuff is still heavier than my heavy stuff. Not a fan of weekly heavy deadlifts tho.
It’s good to see you alive after deadlifts this time. Joking of course, great job. Conventional style?

Legs still cramping on the presses? Also looks like you’re closing in on a 2 plate push press. Soon muh dawg!

Legs cramp pretty much every time I do my top set. And I have hit a 2 plate push press a few months back.

ROFL. Shows how much I’m paying attention
Ok…235 on push press soon!
Warmed up with dynamics
Front squat
barx15 (band around knees until 185)
95x8
135x5
185x3
225x1
245x1
235x3, solid
235x3, feeling tought, getting bend over
235x6, tough to keep elbows high, getting some knee kick, could have done another
Breathing paused fornt squat (10 breaths)
185x1, breathed very quickly, everything shaking
185x1, same, tough as f
Split squat
55sx12e
55sx12e
55sx12e
Goblet squat
50x20, no breaks, constant tension
50x20, 1 break at 17, pump is real
50x20, like 3 breaks, kicked my arse
Suitcase carry
55x30s ish (3 sets)
Front squats felt kinda weird since I have not done them that consistently recently. Felt like I was gonna drop the bar, not bad tho. Just felt awkward in the bottom and out of the hole. Lunges stretched my toes like no other? Goblets gave me the biggest quad pump of my life, uncomfortable. Suitcase were too light, but trying to get used to them again.
When you FS you look really well off tbh compared to some people. It may look like you’re about to drop it, but trust me, you can hold a lot more than you think, especially when it’s balls out max FS. Also, 10 breaths on paused fronts? I’m pretty sure that’s more than enough to make you pass out lol.

Ten breaths was horrid, and these always feel worse than they look. Its how it always feels.
Breathing paused squats, love and hate them! Good job on 185s, I’ve never tried more than 175 yet and it was the hardest ~40 seconds in that month…

115X8
Pushdowns
2x12, meh
100 band pullaparts, 2 sets
Best bench has felt in a while, tried to get a nice arch and push into my upper back more. Worked well, didnt have much of a problem with keeping tight and retracted. Goood day. Deadlift party tomorrow for charity.

So we had the deadlift event for charity, had a bunch of money raised. Didnt plan on pulling, but was told I was going to pull. So pretty much did like no dynamic warm up, and started working up. Pulled all these in cargo shorts, socks, and not my belt.
135x8
225x5
275x3
belt on
315x2
405x1, super easy
455x1, fastest 455 has gone for me, solid pull overall, didnt lose position much at all, and was fast throughout
475x1, 10 lb PR, this felt like it completely rounded me over, slow lift but locked it out solidly, slight back tweak on it again, nothing major
So pulled a PR without knowing I was pulling until like 20m before. Good event, raised money for a good cause and pulled a new 1rm. Ill take it, ugly but ill take it.
Edit: Realized this was my first double bodyweight deadlift. Got excited about reaching that goal, weighed 232 that morning. Good day for sure!
Warmed up with dynamics
Low bar squat
barx10 (lots of pausing warming up)
115x5
155x5
belt on
205x5
245x3
295x3
345x5, felt super off the whole time, just feel fatigued and having difficulty with technique today
355x5, first rep was so slow, then just chugged along the last couple, tough last two, having problems with asss rising too soon today
add wraps
375x5, not very tight wraps, solid first two reps, last three were tough, too much ball busting today
6-7" conventional block pulls (plus elitefts average bands, add like over 100 per side)
belt on
135x5, deadlifting two days in a row mmmk, deadlift parties, back super tired from yesterday and squatting
185x5
225x3, feeling pretty heavy already
275x3, pretty tough to lockout, but hey its like close to 500 at lockout
315x1, tried a second but just pooped out, fuck bands
Reverse hyper
105x15, trying to control the lowering better
105x15
105x15
105x15
105x15, hams, lower back and little butt on fire, such tire…
GHR
BWx10
BWx10
moved the pin closer so my knees were right at the edge of the pad, holy hell is that way harder
BWx6, shitty, tough to keep hips extended
BWx5
BWx4, hams killing
Fatigued today from a PR deadlift, so everything felt like shit. Squatting was off, pulls were heavy, back feels tired but not painful. Booty was rising first today squatting. Wraps felt decent, but they werent that tight, didnt give me a whole lot. Reverse hypers and GHR should bring my posterior up to snuff to deadlift more. I am better built to pull, so I need to get that out of the shitter and get better at not jacking myself up doing it. Might do some trunk stuff later, havent decided yet.
Deadlifts PR’s are always the fuckin best. I wanna see a vid of it dogglestein!

Cant guarentee any of the powerlifts from DBB, more focused training and less distraction. And on a side note, I will be in NC for almost a week the first week in May. Could totally train. Your call.
I’d be down, where you gonna be at?
