Squat barx10, x10, 95x5, 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 275x3, 300x2, 335x1, 320x5 PR, 320x5 PR
Front squat- 135x5, 185x5, 205x6, x6, x6
Whore machine- 3x20

Took like 40 minutes. Got the dirty work in and then left. Squats felt really meh warming up. Realized I was going deeper than usual and thats why everything felt so wonky. Fixed it before my top sets, felt better but not perfect. Hit those pretty easy, had a rep or two in the tank on them. PRs for days lately. Overwarmup before reps feels really good. Best my hip has felt in 3 months, really think I found a solution to it, thank jebus. Good week of training.

Facepulls- 100 4x15
Pushdowns- 90 3x15
Reverse wrist curls- 25 4x15

Bench felt awesome today. Felt super tight on the bench and had a really ncie groove going. None of those reps were a grind, had like 2 more at least on each set. Prolly coulda done 5x10. DB inclines were decent, nothing special. Who would have guessed I would suck at doing pull ups from not doing pull ups for 3 months, really need to get back o doing them and quit being a birch tree. Really like the straight bar for cable rows instead of the parallel gripped ones because I use roughly bench width and pull to the same spot, trying to be pretty specific in that instance. Love facepulls fo realz. Pushdowns burned and wrist curls made me realize my extensors are weak as hell because that was really hard. Good day.

So I am doing my first meet on January 17th at Detroit Barbell. Raw with wraps, bekt, and wrist wraps. Should be good for my first meet to be in the gym I train at and with a bunch of people I know.

Deadlift against bands (~ 140 at lockout)- 225x3, 275x2, 315x2, 365x1, 385x1 PR, 405x1, PR

Squats felt kinda meh the whole time. We were going somewhat lighter with squats today so I focused on try to slow the decent a little bit to put me in a better position. No squats were that hard today. Deadlifts were a bitch for real. That band tension made it ridiculous, made you pull fast or you will die out quickly. 365 flew up pretty well. 385 felt like death, got rounded and struggled to lock it out which is never a problem. Saw my buddy pull 405 so I was like fuck it, you gotta tie that fucker. Pulled it so slowly and so shittily but I got that fucker. Feel like my upper back was really rounded. Lower back prolly was too. So I locked out like 540 ish so thats cool, off the floor was death. Good session so far, might front squat later depending.

Front squat- barx10, 95x5, 135x5, 185x5, 225 8x3
Hyperextension- BW+40 4x12
Leg extension- “190” 4x12
Pallof press- “70” 2x10e
Ab wheel thing- BW 3x5

Got a good amount of work done. Front squats felt pretty good, back did really well with them. Form felt good, got some heavish weight for lots of beltless reps. Hypers killed the donk and hams, extension for dem quads. Then trunk stuff. Core is a stupid word. Good assistance stuff. And the Lions are 10-4, ill take it.

Press- barx10, 75x5, 95x5, 115x5, 135x3, 150x1, 165x1, 160x9 PR, 135x13 PR
Lat pulldown- “130” 4x15
Facepull- “100” 4x15
Rope pushdown- “100” 2x15

Took like 40m. Press felt really strong warming up and on the top set. Previous best was 160x6 or 7, so pretty much I killed it today. Didnt even grind that much on the last rep, might have been able to get another but prolly not. 135 felt super easy until the last rep and it was just a grind at the waaay top oddly enough. Beat both of my previous bests by like 2 reps on both sets. Really good day. Really felt the lats on pulldowns for like the first time ever. Facepulls burned and so did pushdowns. Good session. And girlfriend pulled her first 135 deadlift. Good day.

Took like 40 minutes. Hip felt great, lower back felt really good. Form felt good. Everything felt decent but I just was not wanting to squat very much today. Pretty much squatted and then did some bs filler sauce while I helped the girly bench. Pretty happy with the 295 set, got really winded at the end but form held up good. Setting PRs like every session. Went to a burger place and did a food challenge. Ate it easily and got a shirt that says “I at the big beaver burger”.

Bench felt a little off on my setup today. Felt like I couldnt get my left shoulder in the position I wanted and keep it there. Still 250 moved really well so I jumped up and hit 260. Somewhat tough. Previous 5rm was 250 and 4rm was 255 so Pr on everything pretty much. I also feel like a shitty board presser due to my arm length. Anyways meet is in 4 weeks from tomorrow. Rows were good, facepulls good, pushdowns made my triceps hate my face. Good stuff. Got a christmas party tomorrow then lifting on Sunday.

Man, I’ve flunked entire bench workouts because my fucking shoulder blade decided to be an asshole and not tuck properly on the shitty bench I use. Happens.

Yeah it was annoying but it also still kept pretty retracted still. Just felt a little loose and couldnt keep my chest high enough so it was a little harder. Still able to hit PRs on a mentally off day, so i wont complain.

Sumo deadlift- 225x3, 275x2, 315x1, add belt 365x1, 405x1, 435x0 almost pooped myself and almost passed out

Squats felt decent warming up. 335 felt way harder than expected. Had a light wrap on 365 and it felt like ass. Did 385 and smoked it, like an empty bar. Took 405 and smoked it, hardly a struggle. 425 I just wasnt aggressive enough out of the hole, felt too slow going down. Did it again and went faster on the decent, a little too fast but I grinded it out for a big squat PR. Sumos felt like ass because my shins pretty much bled the hole time. 405 felt pretty darn fast so I tried to jump for a PR. Pulled it about an inch off the floor, had it stall, and almsot blacked out. Def almost pooped too. Heavy day, feel like I am in a fog. Knee wraps made me out squat my deadlift for the first time lol. At least my sumo, fuck sumo. Good session, prolly front squats tonight.
