ok, when i inject i dont aspirate after the needle is in my muscle. what are the risks i run if i hit a vein or a nerve? how quicly would i know if i hit a vein? im not going to take my chances anymore. im going to check for blood.
A few months ago I hit a vein in my shoulder just perfectly, and aspirated out 1 1/2 cc of blood without even any effort.
Clearly if I wouldn’t have aspirated in this situation and just injected, it could have killed me. Oil and BA is not suppose to be in the venous system in those quantites. It could have caused vasospasm of coronary arteries -who knows what else. Not pretty.
Always aspirate
damn, im gonna stick to aspirating all the time.
Stupid people should not use AAS.

Its not even worth knowing why.
Just tell him to do it and stop being stupid.
I found this on line: “…after inserting the needle, pulling back on the plunger of the syringe for a few seconds to see if the needle is in a blood vessel. Rarely, this will be the case and a bit of blood will fill the syringe. If this happens the needle should be removed, replaced with a new one, and another injection site should be used. And yes, if there is a little blood in your syringe, it is ok to inject it along with your steroid once you have found a different spot…it’s your own blood isn’t it?”
I’d welcome people’s feedback on this. I always aspirate with HRT. But I’ve never known if re-injection (with a new needle) was advisable when there are signs of blood. Thanks in advance.
I’ve shot with blood still in the needle, it was probably a little less than a ml.
