Ask Physiolojik Thread

hey doc,
what’s your take on MK 677? thinking about stacking it to my current testosterone-only cycle (500mg/week) for the next 12-16weeks.
Is there anything to consider? Would you recommend taking berberine/adjusting nutrition due to the effects on insulin sensitivity?
Prolactine a potential issue?

Have you ever had rice pudding? It’s awesome

There is some history of myocardial infarction in my extended family but not hypercholesterolemia, my cholesterol is normal however the Doc put me on Lipitor along with the Metropolol as good practice as he called it. Question, do you think that one 6 week cycle of Winstrol is the cause of my high calcium score or more family history? Can you recommend any supplements to replace the anavar?

@The_Myth

I just came off TRT 2 months ago and have a log going if you’re interested. Details what I did to come off and a few status updates. Feel free to post there if you have any specific questions. I’d link the thread but I’m not so technically inclined.

And you’re drinking this during your lift or before? And when you say protein powder (I use a POST workout mix with Whey Protein Isolate (Milk), Dextrose, Maltodextrin, Waxy Maize Starch, Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin, Lecithin (Soy) in it) are you referring to strictly protein? Whey etc?

He stated in the previous post that its pre workout and then you use carbs during your training. Specifically a fast absorbing carb. I havent looked in to what I will use for intra yet but I’m sure I will find one at the old supplement store

So preworkout is rice cereal (carb), natural PB (fat), protein only powder? And then a carb protein drink during workout? And then a PWO shake or meal?

Ive only been doing PWO for so long at this point I am out of practice.

@alldayeveryday @NH_Watts hey guys. Yes. I use the following.

Cream of rice, Pb, metabolic drive pre workout. (Sometimes i even add Hershey syrup - also for you guys who want to look it up, just google John meadows concoction bowl).

Intra workout - I used to use plazma but now I use recovery from granite. Both are good.

Post workout is just a meal. No need to eat it quick if you are using peri workout.

Also remember meadows was my coach in Columbus so when you guys ask about how I train etc it’s always mountaindog style. He’s posted tons of stuff on t nation article wise.

That’s great that you mentioned JM…that’s the exact video I watched to make my (formerly HIS) pre-workout meal. Cream of rice, egg whites, and chocolate syrup (fat free). My wife turns her nose up at it when I make it but I think it’s pretty good.
What are your thoughts on the amount of added iron in some brands of cream of rice? Is it concerning to you from a health perspective?

Hi @physioLojik

I was hoping you could lead me in the right direction. In june 2016 I went on severe crash diet and also was working my first job in my life (construction laborer) I was eating mostly vegetables and black coffee not more then 1400/1500 calories a day while running for an hour after work plus soccer. I went from 77kg down to 62kg in about 5 weeks. As I was dieting I noticed a loss of libido but didnt worry. Then I noticed complete ED and low semen volume and force and after 5-6 months of dieting I quit and gained all my weight back. I developed restless legs, stress incontinence and genital numbness. I also have not had a spontaneous erection in over 2 years. Morning erections also are non-existant. Genitals are numb like rubber, and scrotum is always high and tight. I do not get any good feeling from ejaculating any more and there is no force! Also have a discomfort in right testicle/vas deferens area. Please get back to me , the only symptom that got better is the restless legs.

@joeviv10 you fucked up your system bud. Your e2 is way too low as is your DHT. You could reverse this with a low dose testosterone / masteron cycle.

Im only 24, it has been 2 years with the only improvements coming from the restless legs going away. Isn’t it normal for it to go back? I am aspiring to be a professional athlete so I would like to stay away from trt. However being like this I can not pursue my dreams, my agressivness and will power are completely gone. I feel like a zombie. Before all this happened I had the mind set of Michael FUCKING Jordan or Mike Tyson. I was so strong mentally, and physically. Now I just feel bland, empty.

If my Total T is around 650 , doesnt T flow into E2, and DHT. Does that mean that maybe the body isn’t used to such a low T level, and is holding onto as much t as possible, not wanting to give it down to DHT and E2?

Do you have a social media page/ facebook/instagram?

Mike Tyson was using a lot more than TRT lol… And recreational drugs. Now I can’t say he used AAS with certainty, but I can say it with 99.99 percent certainty lol.

Yeet so some enzymes/metabolic pathways are probs a bit doopily.

yes I was using that to state how strong I was mentally, physically . As if nobody could stop be from pursueing my dreams. Its almost like when a dude has sensitive nipples and gynecomastia. He gets all shy etc, I have the opposite, im guessing from low e2. I have genital numbness, ed, that makes me all quiet etc.

I have a minor herniation at l1-l2 as well as spina bifida l5-s1 . Leg EMG shows severe loss of motor neurons on left and right legs.

Urologist prescribed me PROSTAMOL UNO /saw palmetto (known anti-androgen so I will stay away from that

Endo in Croatia first said that my “CARRIERS” are low and to come back in a month with new results and I will probably get treatment. I came back next month again giving 100$ to see him , and I had more or less same results but he pretty much called me a nut case and said I should see a sex therapist?!

I truly believe that if it weren’t for this garbage list of symptoms you guys would be watching me on tv already. Life makes no sense with no libido/genital numbness. I can feel something missing from my blood that made me agressive. My testicles do not feel grounded like before if that makes sense. I can not yell on a soccer field anymore , I do not feel like an ALPHA male anymore…

I have never felt so messed up before. Its such a depressing situation, yet i dont feel depressed/suicidal, I just have no feelings at all anymore. The thought of smelling a womens hair gave me an erection before. Did I mention that I do not produce “precum” anymore either?

Why did he prescribe this? Do you have an enlarged prostate? How long did you take this for?

This is quite serious. Were you recently diagnosed or were you aware of the condition since birth? Are you able to give specifics (type, symptoms, treatment etc).

Recently or due to the Spina bifida?

Meh, I had pubertal gyno when I was around ten, didn’t bother me, other than the fact that getting nipple twisters became particularly painful.

Look, lack of ejaculate volume, genital numbness etc (after hyperprolactinemia and problems with dopamine has been ruled out) sounds like low DHT (esp given the fact you’re bloods show a lack of DHT). Now I’m no medical professional, nor do I pretend to be one (there was a phase on here when I pretended to be a lizard person but that’s over), physio is far more qualified to give advice as he is a medical professional, I’m just a lizar-… Human being.

Here’s a nice pic of me blending in.

Looks to me like your claimed autistic spectrum disorder is significantly improving as well.

I’m sorry to disrupt the echo chamber on thyroid but TSH levels that go up are a red flag. That means doing advanced testing. That means getting some education on the matter… Here’s a very solid review of the (poor) blood tests available to us when it comes to testing thyroid levels.

Burying the head in the sand saying “I have no degree of hypothyroidism! I don’t have an education tho!” isn’t helping anyone. Especially if what’s recommended is levothyroxine which is an absolute nonsensical drug. You guys need to thoroughly review the diet, the overtraining that is rampant on lifting forums, the mental health that is critically low in westernized societies, get extended testing when facing abnormal TSH (above 1.5) etc etc.

Last time I checked doctors (and pharmacists) weren’t trained to deal with lifestyle measures to correct peripheral hypothyroidism and ergo are no better than the average broscientist, unfortunately. They are actually potentially worse, since all they know is to recommend XYZ pill as if they had a clue.

@tontongg totally agree. The only test I use to determine thyroid status is a four time salvia collection. Blood testing hormones is ridiculous and antiquated.
