Well, we haven’t been dating for a while and her parents are in Korea. So to answer your question, no, I haven’t met them yet.
Will I meet them? Hopefully. And hopefully by then I’ll have learned a respectable amount of Korean and will be knowledgeable in the art of making Kimch’i.
She said her parents are pretty lenient so I figure being able to speak Korean and make Kimch’i will put me in the green.

BOBU, I agree on your assessment of many Korean girls wanting to date foreign guys rather than Korean guys. If any of you have been to Korea, you’ll see that many guys still treat their girls as possessions. It’s brutal. Now, I said many, but not all. I was dating as girl a while ago that was by far the hottest girl I ever dated. She told me very simply that the reason she prefered foreign guys is that they treat a girl better. Granted I promptly dumped her for being WAY too demanding. Which is the other side of the coin. I find that many girls here have a nasty little princess complex - some of them think they are the absolute queen and you should do EVERYTHING for them. Dunno, I love Asian girls but there’s something to be said for a little independence in a girl as well. Oh, and yeah I too think that Korean girls are better looking than Japanese girls, although Japanese girls are much more … shall we say… liberal.

BOBU, actually I dated a korean girl for 3 years, and the entire time her parents refused to meet me. Pretty lame huh? I was pissed at first, but then I realized I would never have to deal with her parents, so I just let it go. I’ve met other korean parents who don’t care at all, but there are definitely some who won’t take anything but a korean med student for a son-in-law.

pretty interesting stuff here. I live really close to Cornell University and there are TONS of asian women around and I have yet to see one that I felt was attractive. Then again, Cornell University isn’t exactly a mecca for hotties if you know what I mean…haha. Irregardless, I have never found Asian women all that attractive in the first place, although I will admit some of the pictures in this thread have raised my eyebrows…;o) I noticed that most of the pictures shown in this thread were of “mixed” women, what was it…Euroasian??? They were pretty fine! I guess I’m just not a big fan of 100% Asian women. But if that is indeed your bag…you would be in 7th heaven if you lived where I lived…all the Asian women you could possibly want.
