Asafa Defeats Bolt in Stockholm!!!!! 9.88

The fireworks before the Olympics has begun. Powell shows he is still a top contender.

Sprinting is getting to be my favourite sport to follow lately. This is shaping up to be a VERY exciting event in Beijing.

I love watching these guys run!

I think if it got a little more media coverage a lot more people would say the same thing, especially over the summer. Would you rather watch these guys or baseball? I know I wish I could catch a lot more T&F on tv.

On a separate note, I’m really hoping Tyson Gay is okay in Beijing. That will be an amazing race with the 3 of them. It is plausible that if the wind is blowing right at the limit and Gay is 100% we might see the three fastest times ever, including one or more under 9.70.

Does anybody know if we will be able to watch the 100m finals live in the US?

Powell got an amazing start, bolt went soft at the end. Bolt is an absolute FREAK, he is not as experienced but he should be the favorite going to Beijing. I think Beijing track is indoors isn’t it? So it will be tough to break 10.

Bolts finishing speed is insane. If he gets a good start I can’t see him being beaten.
