I thought this would be of interest to most people on this site. Consumer Reports recommends no more than 1 cup a week. Here is their site, from there you can go the FDA site: Arsenic in Rice | FDA Recommends Diversifying Grains - Consumer Reports
Yep. Didn’t see anything about the 1 cup recommendation. Interesting.

It is listed in the chart as 2, 1/4 cup servings uncooked which equals 1 cup total when cooked.
I’ve been hearing this for a little while now. I’ve also heard that across the board brown rice tests higher for arsenic.
That sucks cause I eat a boat load of rice.

that just sucks… fucking fukushima will contaminte all oceas over time and eating fish will be very, very unhealthy for a long time. and still the tepco company is solely responsible for cleaning up the mess… there should be an international intervention, tepco should be closed and ALL their plants should be closed…
I will really miss eating sushi for the rest of my life
I read this the other day. Might help put radiation fears into perspective:
FUCK, I have I have eaten so much fricken rice the past two years, tons of rice cakes, brown rice, spanish rice, etc… Its pretty much been my main source of carbs alongside fruits veggies and a few other things, because I can’t handle bread and gluten very well…
Though recent blood tests didnt show any abnormalities gonna need to drop the rice habit
I’m exposed! lol
Just buy california white rice. I buy some called calrose rice. Apparently it has less arsenic than the stuff overseas.
