Great news.

Hopefully, won’t be as shit as the recent one.
I thought Momoa did the best he could under the circumstances. They must have hired Edward Scissorhands to edit it though. There were some serious continuity issues, which for a movie of that size screamed “damage limitation!”.

As REH adaps go, I much preferred Solomon Kane. It’s one of those movies that gets away with being corny. Great central performance from James Purefoy as Kane.
I wanted Momoa to be bigger, just as I remembered Arnold in the first Conan movie. Even, in the comics, Conan was a massive brute. Mamoa’s built was too distracting for me. The guy was a beast in Game of Thrones. I have no idea why he slimmed down to fitness magazine model size for this role. The Rock would have made a better Conan I think.

I wanted Momoa to be bigger at first as well. But I also wanted a better sense of realism to the film, so I also hoped he would be much more shredded. Like a hungry predator. But after seeing the film, I didn’t care.

Unfortunately that film wasted its potential, and ended up being quite forgettable on so many levels.

I ended up digging up some of the books I read back in the day and read a Robert Jordan book (TOR). Good pulp fiction. Page turner.

I still gotta get a Howard version though.
