Are Sweet Potatoes Healthy?

How good are sweet potatoes for you? I love them, especially whipped sweet potatoes but in general is the sweet potato healthy? What types of preperation would make them more/less healthy and sweet potatoes like you find at popular resturants (boston market, texas chicken and grill, etc.) are these typically prepared in an unhealthy manner?

Sweet potatoes can be good. They have beta-carotene, but are a carbohydrate with a moderate glycemic index.

Baking or microwaving plain would be the most healthy method of preparation.

yes

Sweet potatoes are a good starchy carb to eat after your workout with some sort of lean protein. I like them baked and served with a little Smart Balance, Cinnamon, and Splenda.

sounds nice, anyone else have experience eating the sweet potato?

I think it’s yams that are supposed to be good for you.

It’s been a couple of years since the last thread on this, but I know that one went on for a long time ranging from plant phyllum to racial physiology, finaly landing squarely on terrorism, with no determination as to whether or not any of them are actualy more nutritious than another.

I’m still confused.

I am curious about this, too. We should share our experiences in eating the sweet potato.

Anyone have any experience eating the corn? How about the lettuce?

Im going to meet up with him soon so we can talk about some personal problems that I have been haveing with corn.

I swear sometimes corn just talks at me and not to me, I cant live like that anymore…
