Rules (and physics) are for the unwashed masses
In a big city, the only illegal parking is the spot you get ticketed in. No ticket, no foul. Everything is fair game if you can squeeze in.
This is true pretty much everywhere. The biggest difference is you’re far more likely to find legal parking in smaller places. But make no mistake about it if people can’t find a spot they will park illegally here all the time in my area.
