I have alwys wanted to start a business that I could earn a good living off of. I have been in school for quite sometime now, and I don’t think I can keep it up much longer. I would not mind working 80-100 hrs a week to begin with so long as I new that it was my business whose success depended on my work. So, does anyone have an business ideas? anyone have their own and care to offer some advice?
You want to start a business but want someone else to give you the idea? You’ll need a niche service or proprietary patent to exploit. You’ll need capital, connections and the networking to sustain until you have the ability to advertise properly or the clientele to generate word of mouth.
The drive to work 80-100 hours a week doesnt make you a successful business man, in some cases it makes you a guy struggling to provide for his family with 3 jobs.
Go to sidereel.com and watch an episode of Shark Tank, its an easy entertaining way to see what people go through trying to find the money to turn their ideas into businesses.
Good luck.
James,
Check out anything by Eben Pagan. He is a business and marketing genius. His training has helped me immensely. I have a small business and it is growing. The attitudes and tactics he teaches will help any business

You don’t have the love or passion to start your own business yet. I can tell because you’re asking for advice. I started my entertainment company with me and one other friend. Now i have 3 different teams and 100 sub promoters under me. Only when i thought i would lose everything did i work my ass off. You have to love your business and have passion for what you’re doing or else you will fail.
For 250$, I can teach you the secret of how to start a successful business and become rich
PM me if you are interested in that
I don’t, but have a few friends that do.
The successful ones basically worked, ate and slept at their business for the first several years. One guy put in 16 hour days, 7 days a week for about 2 years. He’s doing well now, as he has made enough to hire an accountant, lawyer and 4 staff members (its basically autonomous now) but he put in the sacrifice to get there. One of the reasons he became successful is that instead of buying stupid shit with the money he made, he re-invested it into his business…advertising and so on.
Any kind of business has an infancy stage, and getting past this requires a whole lot of sacrifice.
I’ve heard of a book called “E-Myth” (E=entrepeneur) which is supposed to be excellent.
If I were ever to start a business, I’d pick something a.) simple and b.) that fills a niche.
Eben Pagan is more known as David Deangelo. I haven’t checked out his marketing/business stuff but his pick-up stuff is basically the 5x5 of the seduction community.
E-Myth is a very good book.
I can recommend the blog personalmba.com if you want a useful resource on how to become self-taught in entrepreneurship.
“The four-hour workweek” by Tim Ferriss has some nice ideas on how to create an automated business, which ties into the central idea of E-Myth, which is turning your business into a franchise with standard operating procedures.
