Hey, I live in Manchester. Anyone else?
amherst, basement=gym for me, plus I’m not very cool so you guys wouldn’t want to hang out with me ![]()
Originally from Dracut, Mass, a little town that sits right on the New Hampshire border next to Pelham and Salem. In my spare time, I enjoy sitting by the state line and throwing boulders at all the cars with NH license plates…
Of course I’m kidding, last year or so I was working up in Manchester, made the 20-30 minute drive every day.
When I was back home a few months ago, I was reading the “Lowell Sun” and there was an article about this 18 y/o kid that was supposed to be a rising star in the strongman world. Trained at this little hardcore gym (I think in Salem??). Might be too far away for you guys in Dover, but perhaps would be interesting to look into?

Does inland Massachusetts count?
Born in Manchester, NH. Lived in Lynn, MA most of my life. Moved to Omaha, NE. The wife and I are looking at a move in the next year so this is a great thread to help prepare for where to live based on gym availability. Mr. Cressey will you have a gym in the Boston area?

In the event that Mr. Cressey doesn’t see this, he does:
I am from the North Shore as well. I grew up in Gloucester, went to college in Lowell. I have lived in Lowell and Dracut. I also spent some time in hell, I mean Los Angeles.
I’m in college in NY right now, but I lived in NH up until I graduated high school…Dover High School. When I’m home for breaks I workout at the Gold’s Gym in Portsmouth. I have considered giving World Gym in Dover a try though.
Hmmm anyone know anywhere good to learn the oly lifts in NH? Preferably in the southern area…
