Anyone Else Suddenly Start Being Religious After 30?

I think some on this thread would be interested in how Islam views Paul.

Paul is seen as one of those who corrupted the message of Jesus who is a Prophet and the Messiah in Islam. Blogging theology a former Christian who became Muslim and is involved in academic circles has made quite a few videos on the subject.

And likewise, ā€œnothingā€ has been your contribution to this thread.

Why??? Why go on and on and on about Paul not being an apostle, and then your conclusion is that it means nothing one way or the other?

Once again you fail miserably. Are you saying that Paul was quoting scripture when he said, ā€œPaul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of Godā€¦ā€ (Col 1:1)?

Or maybe you agree with ā€œIf any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of God,ā€ 1 Cor 14:37.

How Islam views Paul means nothing

How do you reconcile Paul saying Jesus abolished the old law with the gospel of James where he directly says Jesus said I have not come to abolish the law? James called paul his enemy. Surely Christians should take the word of the Gospel writers over someone who had no connection to Jesus at all?

Maybe not. If Islam rejects the teachings of Paul, it seems that they are rejecting the bride of Christ as a doctrine. That is significant.

Disclaimer: I know very little about Islam.

A Bible believing Christian believes the Bible in its entirety.
Do you know that the faces of the cherubims (living creatures) in Ezekiel 1:10 align with the four Gospels in character?

Give me the precise verses and I will explain.

What is the gospel of James?

Sorry lmao I meant james letter to peter calling paul his enemy for spreading innovated beliefs about Jesus. And I meant the gospel of Mathew lol I was watching a video on james as I was typing must of subconsciously switched things.

New International Version
ā€œDo not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Video is timestamped as he reads the letter

Surely the gospel writers are far more trustworthy than a man who never met jesus and spent is life hunting jews?

I am sorry, but I am not going to listen to any videos. And I in urn do not post videos.

You need to tell me in your words or quotes, if you want my opinion.

Where is it mentioned that James wrote a letter to Peter? Is it in Acts? Galatians chapter 2?

I don’t want to spam the thread up brother. Just google the letter and read it if you are interested if not no worries.

How would you posting your words spam the thread? You are the OP?`

Just if the thread becomes walls of texts no one feels like engaging. Im enjoying seeing different discussions evolve.

Yet, you keep responding? So it can’t be nothing.

Unless one is a Muslim.

Obviously. However a Christian doesn’t necessarily have to believe the Bible in its entirety. The Bible was complied by men, not God. A true Christian believes in Jesus, not a book.

Matt 5:17, ā€œThink not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I come not to destroy, but to fulfil.ā€

What happens once the Law is fulfilled? The Law had demands. But though Jesus the Law is fulfilled, not destroyed. If you put you faith in Jesus you are no longer subject to separation from God because you broke the Law.

1 Tim 2:5, ā€œFor there is one God, and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.ā€

Please note that the Law was given to the nation of Israel.

Would you like me to quit texting?

So if I come and establish the law for murder in a wartorn country that law then stops being followed and not murdering doesn’t have to be followed anymore? Why were these laws given if they weren’t for a reason? If they were for a reason why did God decide to abolish them? It seems completely contradictory.

Only Paul seemed to have this view. James said the message only came for the lost sheep of Israel and even they must be tested. Then Paul argues that it came for two peoples to establish peace. We are seeing major differences here between Paul and the actual followers of Jesus.

I agree. But to fully appreciate the goodness of God, He wants your fellowship.
