If I were part of this study it would appear if I was in the high protein group I’d be getting 225g protein per day. So, is it likely that an extra 75g would help even slightly more? Maybe, is it worth the extra cost in food compared to carbs? I don’t know, probably not.
Is it worth nitpicking over? IMO, nope. Progress is being made, though I will say, cheaper grocery bill would be a good thing.

I just saw more scare tactics… apparently there’s now ‘free’ ebooks describing how whey protein is slowly poisoning everyone.
there are some whey proteins that are contaminated with heavy metals and rat feces.
I’ve seen the heavy metals report, got a link for the rat feces?
During a recent inspection, FDA investigators found that several of the companies¢?? products contained milk ingredients that were not declared on the product labels. In addition, the company failed to clean processing equipment between batches and control allergens in the facility.
FDA investigators also discovered live and dead rodents and rodent urine, feces and gnaw holes on bags of product.
Have you never had a hot dog, hamburger, sausage? Do you think any company with food everywhere doesn’t have rodent urine or rodent feces or the actual rodent itself in there?
lol

“After consuming a weight-stabilizing diet for 13 to 25 days, participants were randomized to diets containing 5% of energy from protein (low protein), 15% (normal protein), or 25% (high protein).”
so on a 3000 calorie diet, the low is consuming 37.5g, ‘normal’ 112.5g, and high 187.5g. lol i think its safe to say even the high group is barely considered normal for most on this site.
most on this site consume around 30-35% of calories from protein, im sure.

Yeah, it’s hard to say really. Too many variables. Anything above 0.8g/lb is good in my book until you really know how your body responds to your diet/training. If you want to take in that much, do it. If you want to cut down a little and save some money, do it.
