I’m planning s world trip for a couple years time from now, starting to save now, Octoberfest being one thing I would like to do…just wondering has anyone from the forum been? share any experiences, im planning on travelling to london, new york, la, houston, atlanta, mexico and thailand…aswell…
I have been to Octoberfest…and prepare to be so drunk that you won’t remember most of it…make sure someone takes pictures for memories cause you won’t have any of your own.

To talking the real deal in Germany or some half-assed shit in just about any city in the world? My Dad went to Oktoberfest in Germany waaay back in the day, he said it was just insane, so I can only imagine what it’s like now.
And if you are wondering, our local Oktoberfest is a bunch of beer tents set up in the middle of the woods. We know how to party here in Wisconsin.

Hell yeah,I have been to Octoberfest in Munic several times in the nineties.
Its nice! I got bloody drank and had a good time.
German girls are also quite cheap.Especially when they are drank too.

I find it interesting that you listed Houston on the list. I would love to see Sydney. I guess it is a little reciprocity.
If you do make it here, do not come in the summer. October is good.

It’s huge and super crowded and the beer is super expensive.
One should have been there once just for the experience, but with the money you will spend getting drunk for one evening you could be drunk half a week just about anywhere else.
If you go there, be sure to get a german Schnitzel at one of the bigger tents. 
Oh, and the cheapest girls (by far) are to be found in the UK at any time in the year
It’s the most fun I’ve had while standing on a park bench (and drinking gigantic beers and singing drinking songs - German drinking songs - and I don’t even speak German)

Also, check out the Volksfest in Stuttgart. It’s like Octoberfest in Munchen but smaller and runs longer
