My Grandpa helped design and build he first hovercraft and other weird shit that he never told me about.
Coolest thing ever, my Aunts brother does some “government work”. He is a genius, it really kind of scares me. Somehow he invented a “shrink ray”, he demonstrated it for me many years ago. Fired it at at a 25 cent piece and it literally shrank to about 1/5th the size with only minimal distortion. Developed a very small “force field”, and has built a rail gun for the government. Scary shit.
There are other projects that are just totally beyond my scope of understanding and obviously others that he can’t say anything about.

Too bad he didn’t invent an “enlarging ray” he could put (insert any worthless male enhancement pill) out of business.

I’m the famous person in the family this generation
My great-great (great?) grandmother’s cousins were the Grimm brothers. Apparently, from what I understand from ancient relatives that still like to gossip about the past, they were mischievious pains in the butt when they were young.
Also, in the late 1800’s, one of my relatives faked his death to get away with murder, assumed a fake last name (which I bear today) and ran off to X state, which I shall not name.

WOW, intersting. And what a peice of shit he is. Hope his death was slow & painful.
Not really famous, but my dad is a legend in his small hometown in KY from his basketball days. Even today with no shooting he’ll go out & mop the floor against anyone in shooting. DOES NOT MISS, longrange is crazy good! A God given ability.

No-one famous actually related to me off the top of my head, though my mum works with Olympic-level horseriders and jockeys. We’ve had many of them stay over at our house.
My Uncle, however, used to work for the biggest diamond import/export company in the Europe. He stole a thousand carat diamond, and sold it to an Arab prince from Dubai. Immediately afterwards, he went into hiding and none of my family have heard from him since…
On a similar note, my cousin-in-law is now the personal pilot to a wealthy family in Dubai, mere months after receiving his commercial pilot’s license.
Something has always smelt a bit off about it. I don’t doubt the two are connected.[/quote]

Nope, from what I understand, he disappeared for a year, then came back to the city under a different name, remarried his own wife, they moved to the east coast, and he lived a happy life until the day he died. It was his children who spilled the beans about what he had done.
