Hi all,
I might be getting offered what seems like a great job in Bahrain next week and I just wondered if anyone here is living or working there or has done in the past.
If so, any info on the place and what’s good and bad about it would be greatly appreciated, as it would be first my first trip to that part of the world.

VERY small country. sunni royal family, but 70% shiites. there’s an american base there. my bahraini friend says its liberal. also michael jackson lives there. that’s all i know.

Yeah I’ve heard arabs say it was liberal but have no idea what THAT means relative to say, living in London.
If I see MJ at the cornershop I’ll be sure to let people know!
