This guy makes my 60$ a month look like I’m some rich guy over paying… so jealous… insurance?
Not sure if your asking me but no I am not using insurance. My doc has worked out a deal with a pharmacy.
Not sure what your t is but you said you respond well. Could you just lower more to lower your hematocrit? You could also donate blood to get it down if you haven’t Lready
At 40 mg twice a week, so only 80 mg a week my hematocrit went up even higher. And my T levels were like 554 on trough. Donating will be difficult as my ferritin is low. 23. I think higher frequency increases hematocrit not lowers it as others have thought.
That sucks. I hope you can get something that works for you. I personally wouldn’t recommend the gels or tablets but I’m not going sit here and say they won’t work for you because I dont know that either. Good luck man. I do recommend a compounded cream though as I feel great on it and have for 6-8 months. So if I was you that is what I would shoot for to see if it works.
I’ll ask the doc for sure. In the meantime should I stop the injections all together until blood levels go down? Can bad things happen without a warning with high hct?
Where are your free t levels at. Do you have any other medical issues. What’s about family history? Are you at altitude? What was hct before starting. How much has it moved from then till Today. Are you well hydrated before your test?
You don’t have to answer all but good for thought to ease your mind. If your free t is high normal you can drop dose and that will I’ll help.
We’re so different. I was at like 400mg (don’t ask why) of T in my blood last test and my hct was 42% I believe. Barely budged in 3 months.
Don’t freak out. No symptoms. You caught it early enough. There are Plenty of athletes run a high hct with epo. More oxygen = higher performance. I’d be running time trials and going long with that hct bahaha ![]()
Kidding aside. I would figure out if you have a natural high hct or low. Thus the pre trt labs.
There is a lot of conflicting info so I can’t say for sure. Jay Cambpell of TRT Revolution and another doctor (cant remember for sure but I want to say it was Crisler) said there isn’t need to be concerned but a lot of other doctors say otherwise. So that isnt something I feel confident in answering.
Pre trt hematocrit was around 44-46. Normal. Same with hemoglobin and rbc. Free T on trough is 454 pmol. Which is 13 for you guys. At peak it was 29. That’s on the 100 mg a week. On 80 mg split in 2 a week free t was the same on trough 13. Didn’t check peak. Low altitude, hydration good. Health great.
I want to say if your not symptomatic (high BP, tingling extremities etc) though you are fine.
Yeah blood pressure averages 100/75
No don’t just stop unless you have symptoms. This hasn’t been going on for months… Do the following. .Or this is what I’d do I do.
- get hydrated
- Try subq and stick to twice weekly
- Get re tested in a few days…
Your levels are fluctuating allot for being on twice a week. Try subQ and see if that helps with the peaks and troughs. jumping to 29 and then dropping by 50% is quite a kick in the balls right? do you feel any different between shots. I have no clue how that’s happening your already on twice a week. I would think 2weekly is the best for 90% of the market.
If you have zero symptoms. blood pressures rocking. then I wouldn’t worry about it. I would keep an eye on it and symptoms but no I would not give blood and etc…
I think Dr. Rouzier also made then comment that then HCT decreases over time and stabilizes. He also made the comment of folks at elevation with higher HCT do not have issues.
That may have been who was on the show with him
So what I’m doing now is 70 mg every 5 days. Let’s see how the numbers look on this. The peak and trough in 100 mg a week were good. Total T 1230 on peak and 709 on trough. Switching to twice weekly only screwed things up. Trough was 550 and peak I’m guessing around 800. But I got triple the acne, no libido and hematocrit went up. ![]()
So hoping the 70 mg will keep me at around 1000 on peak and maybe 750-800 on trough.
@sublimeprince32 Not sure if you are still interested in cream or on it already, but, I’m in Ontario and got a 3 month supply for $100 which may be covered by your insurance.
I had to stop the T-cream because my levels dropped to 83 ng/dL hours after application after weeks, but levels were 986 an hour after application. The T-cream is cheap, only $52 for 2.5 months worth from Empower.
I felt the effects of the T-cream immediately, the first few hours was great!
That’s weird they dropped.
