Any Pasta Eaters Here?

I eat meat tortellini as a pwo, get some protein in there, carbs for an insulin spike, and then right after I eat 3/4 lbs. of top round.

Pasta is delicous, it goes with anything. Spaghetti with chili or meatballs are personal favourites of mine.

Carbs supply energy in the form of calories. That is all.

Whether that energy comes from designated “clean” for or not, makes no difference as far as body composition is concerned.

Eat the food you like, in the amount that is consistent with your goals.

For example, today I ate french toast with syrup for breakfast. Yet, I’ve been consistently dropping bodyfat percentage while gaining weight over the last 10 weeks.

Unclean foods FTW!

On days off from work I usually have a big plate full of pancakes with added strawberries or blueberries in the batter. Plus some fresh maple syrup and maybe a couple eggs or some meat. MMMMM…heaven.

And yes I eat pasta once in a while. Hey my body is doing everything it can sometimes to get back to when I used to be 130. If pastas around gimme some protein and I’m all over it.

Agreed.
Do you make your own meatballs by any chance?

Made some pasta last night, dumped the package in there and wow swelled up like mad. Ended up with half a pot full of pasta from that damn package but good for a few days :smiley:

It depends if you’re trying to build muscle, lose fat, or just eat a bit healthier. As I said before, in general, I’d stay away from white noodles except as part of my PWO meal or a cheat meal. It really depends on you’re overall diet plan though. If you’re trying to pull in 300g carbs during the day, quinoa or old fashioned oats are gonna be a good choice. Beans work as well. Even most wheat pastas is going to have an extra 6 or 7 g fiber per serving over white pasta, which will at least help keep things moving.
