Antinatalism -- The Immorality of Procreation

I agree with you. A lot of places raising animals are not up to great standards. However, growing up in Wisconsin I knew a number of dairy farmers who truly treated their cows as extensions of the family. Like you said this probably the exception though.

I don’t hold animals in the same regard as humans though. I do believe animals have a spirit, but it is something lesser than the human soul.

I think there is a spectrum of awareness. I think certain animals have very little understanding like shrimp. I’m more conflicted with pigs as they are smarter, and have some of the worst conditions. Cattle, even grain fed are mostly pasture raised, and finished on grains.

If we adopt, won’t it encourage people to breed?

Some guy invented the internet (*not Al Gore) and now the intellectually gifted among us have to see how stupid the general populace really is.

Welcome to Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average

Now Lake Wobegon is a fake location in MN, but residents of my state are above average in looks and wit.

If you think children are above average, try asking about someone’s grandchild.
Beautiful geniuses, all.

If it wasn’t for my grandma and my mom, I might not know just how handsome I really am.

I know, but in some cases the bar is set so low that it’s not hard to get over the relative threshold.

I think you are optimistic about people. I expect stupid, and I am usually not disappointed. It seems you do the opposite.

Just not sufficiently jaded yet…

Always see the worst in people… Have no expectations, then you’ll never be disappointed

This is the key…

To a very unhappy life
