Another Thing

googled what is considered long legged, which is more than half your height.

Gotcha

This should open as an excel SS. It;s a 5 day split. You do legs1 one week and legs2 the second week.

That would be a different situation, you were 25lbs lighter than what would be a more normal starting point at your height. Likely not fully finished puberty. Still though, just running a beginners LP and then any intermediate program likely would have got you to 315 as fast as you could reasonably pack on mass to a 200-210 bodyweight. Just the amount of weight needed would probably draw you closer to 2 years but I could see that coming faster.

If you check the old forums back when everyone ran those LPs these sorts of results were very common, it’s a shame they fell out of vouge

Having now learned this is not the case, why continue down this route?

im probably going to use the one @s.gentz suggested or the one @OTay suggested, by Jordan Peters. this is more of a learning experience. what to do, what not to do

You are young, and that will work in your favor, especially if you act now.

I would imagine that you don’t have a muscular look, though you might. I would strive to get a muscular look, if you have aspirations of pursuing bodybuilding. When looking in the mirror you should be able to see major muscle group distinct separation.

Start by simply cleaning up your diet (stop sugar, processed foods, and bread) and add more protein.

I am glad you are learning to listen to those with credentials and not try to do it yourself  That is invaluable

i simply cannot part with bread, it is an enourmous part of my life

If you stay with the bodybuilding thing, you will most definitely revisit your love affair with bread.

If this is the case pick a bread like Ezekiel or similar. Don’t make reg processed breads a major part of the diet. There are much better carb sources to choose from.

realistically, if i do go with a ppl or bro split, what would the negative effects be if any?

Again, watch these, choose one and follow it.

having watched these twice, i will go with this split or a variation of it. i was asking hypothetically. please dont post these again.

Perhaps broaden horizons so this is no longer the case?

I forget that bread exists.

At your age, the only negative effects of a poor training routine, would be slower progress than ā€œyourā€ optimal training program and wasted time in the gym.

@OTay, you surely went with a different split at some point right?
while i am taking this advice to heart, i still need to make my own mistakes if that makes sense.

We all have ā€œenjoyedā€ our mistakes, until we didn’t.

thanks guys

You’re 15, man; don’t overthink this. You’ve got half a century or more to try all the programs.

I see at least 3 in this thread. Roll a dice to pick one: 1 or 4 is the first JP program, 2 or 5 the second JP program, 3 or 6 is the spreadsheet. Then do the others in succession.

I had different passions at 15 I couldn’t live without than bread… but to each his own. Start building some good eating habits. Step 1 would be to ensure you start each meal with a quality protein source and limit snacking on obvious junk (Cheetos and sodas, for instance). You’ll grow from there.

Do some hard conditioning and just be outside and be active more. This was more automatic when I was growing up, but now you have to be deliberate about it. I’d say you need at least two days of hill sprints or stadiums (preferably at your school in front of cheerleading practice) and another couple days of easier stuff: jogs, pickup basketball, a bike ride, hiking with one of the cheerleaders, etc.

Do you/ have you played a sport? This is so important that, to me, it’s become a non-negotiable no matter which kid I’m hammering with unsolicited advice. You don’t have to be a varsity starter on a school team, but even participating in a rec league a few times a week will do enormous things for your mindset, social interaction, conflict management, body control, discipline, planning, body composition… and the list goes on. Opportunities to do this will diminish as you age, so I really encourage getting involved now.

Good luck!
