Another Testosterone Cypionate Question

2mg anastrzole/week is enormous?

2 is way too much. 0.5-1 is what you should target.
You should be taking AI only if you feel that you need it: itching nipples is one of the first signs. Also low libido, mood and etc. Your libido will go down with low E as well btw.
Don’t take AI just because you think E is high.
My level is 45, I feel great, I am not trying to go lower than that.
I have tried to have it lower than 20 and felt like I was before TRT (horrible).
Labwork is just the base to understand where you are but with high T your E also always will be higher than normal. Which is ok.

Second. Good advice.

There are guys on hefty cycles not taking 2mg

Break up your dose to ed or eod same weekly total and ditch the AI give it a couple months. You have been doing this for years. Time to try what is working for many men now

Thanks. Should I ask dr to lower my weekly test to 130/week instead of 160?

I am not an expert by any means
but considering bb’s get 400+ T per week + all other stuff on top of it, your dosage is pretty normal.
I mean you are on higher end of young healthy guy
and if you are using T only, don’t expect you will gain strengths/muscles anywhere close to guys that use other gear.
if you are not feeling great on your dosage, and based on how much AI you been taken , my guess is you killed your E. Don’t take AI for several weeks.

Ok. Gonna try lowering my dose to 130 test cyp/week (divided doses) and 1.5mg anastrozole/week. (.5- 3x week) and go for lab test in 4 weeks. I’ll post numbers when i get them. Hopefully i can get estradial lowered.

it is funny that you decided to do opposite from what has been recommended :slightly_smiling_face:
your E is probably at level 0 and this is the reason why you are not feeling good
several people told you that with that dosage of T you probably don’t even need any AL

Drop the AI. Estrogen isn’t the devil.

My last lab- my estrodial was 77 (taking 2.5 mg /week) and lost libido. How would my E be a zero?

This doesn’t actually make any sense. If your E is 77, it isn’t 0.

What unit of measurement is this number being reported in?

pg/mL or pmol/L?

If 77 is in pmol/L, that would translate to 20.9 pg/mL, which could be considered too low.

What is your BF%?

If pg/mL estrogen is double the reference ranges, if pmol/L it’s below the ranges.

Yes my last lab was 77 pg/ml. I was just wondering why tonymal was saying my E is probably 0 on that much anastrozole when my lab shows 77 pg/ml. Hoping my reduction in test down to 130/week helps.

Not sure what my bf%. im guessing 20%. I weigh 235, muscular build with somewhat of a belly.

He was just assuming because that is a lot of AI for most. That amount usually would crush most guys E2. I was crushed with only 1mg a week.

Updated lab results…So after lowering my dose to 130 test cyp/week (divided doses Tues/Fri) and 1.5mg anastrozole/week. (.5- 3x week) my TT was 490 and estrodial finally improved. (25) which is the best its ever been and feeling better. Wish my TT was a little higher but can’t tell much difference in the gym.

General question, and apologies if it’s been answered already, but have you checked your Thyroid numbers @diesel32? At least:

  • TSH
  • Free T3
  • Free T4
  • Reverse T3

Might be complete coincidence, but I was on 130mg a week for a while and my numbers were TT - 600 and E2 - 25. I gradually raised my own dose because I wanted higher numbers too…and in parallel I tested my thyroid and found I was sub-clinical hypothroid.

After a dose increase to 147mg a week (42mg EOD) and being on thyroid medication, my TT is now 1312 and E2 is 49.

Thyroid medication is the only really large thing I’ve added…it could be something different, but I’ve read here that TRT doesn’t work well in those that have a dysfunctional thyroid.

I’m looking at my labs. I dont believe any of those were tested. Will keep in mind when i go for my next labs. Thanks for the info.
