IMHO, having contact with this other woman will almost certainly result in some form of romantic entanglement. I mean, sex or no, it already has. To put it bluntly, at this juncture it is unlikely that you are capable of being “just friends”.
Based on what little I know of addictions, this puts your recovery at risk as well as the amicable dissolution of your current relationship. I hope you find this to be an unacceptable risk.

As for this other woman: wellllll don’t rule anything out, but until you get yourself sorted you’ll be no good for her anyway. If you really care about each other as much as you say then there’s no rush. Just concentrate on getting your head right.
So i just got home from the other girls house. I went there knowing what was going to happen I feel like shit because of it she made me promise that I wouldn’t fuck her and I made that promise knowing that I was going to. She spilled the beans to the other guy(who was my best friend and really was like a brother to me), asked for transcripts of all of our texts, and I never had contact with either of them again. There is no happy ending for everyone in situations like these; somebody must get devastated.
