I thought this was the case.
You can do these things and you’re not fat, now start researching a cycle.

a picture would sure help
Me too. I have gotten to a point in life where I equate adulthood to how strong an individual is, not their age. Not just physically strong, but mentally and emotionally as well. I believe strength in all three of those are equally important, and that there is not one greater than the other two.
Right, wrong or indifferent, that is how I see it.
Well, I currently don’t believe OP’s stats, without a picture, but I would probably believe him if he was putting up deadlifts in the 600s, or benches in the 400s. But if he is claiming 230 lbs at 19% and 5’11". and is deadlifting 400, and benching 250, I don’t believe the stats.
Also, I think strength correlates pretty well with size for an individual. There is also the factor, that even if your not training for 1 RM strength, the guy who benches 400, probably can do reps with 315, and stimulate a lot more growth than the guy who has a 250 lb max.
Remember the OP is 27 years old. He shouldn’t be torn up much, unless he is truly too strong for his attachments.
it’s striking distance to my goal physique. I picture it as already jacked, just not lean.
On most people, it wouldn’t even look not lean though with all that muscle mass. It is 186 lbs of lean mass on a 5’11" body. That is crazy. Think of how many guys would kill to be say 186 lbs, at 10% body fat at that height. For most guys with that amount of muscle, they would have a 6 pack at 15%, just because their muscles are bigger, and can stick out even with a layer of fat.
When I was close to 230 lbs at 5’10", I had a good amount of muscle on me. I was benching 350, and deadlifting about 550 at the time, and I was probably a bit north of 25% body fat.
Got it. I don’t really put stock in what people think their BF% is. My comment about BF was to say you need to have your BF in check before thinking about cycling to avoid unwanted issues like high BP and estrogen conversion at a higher rate. Agree he should post a pic so everyone knows what we are dealing with.
Just a thought, why when someone asks a question do we ask for stats and not believe what they say? We’re on an AAS forum lol. If they state their stats, take them for truth, what is the difference in debating unless we are trying to internalize the OPs post. Say your stats, I believe them, makes no difference to me if you’re full of it, I’ll never meet you. Don’t post a pic, i’ll believe you too, looking at your tummy makes no difference in my advice. I’m probably not going to tell you you’re fat or praise your great abs. Maybe reintroducing the Tren is making me spicy today
I measured my % body fat with calipers when cutting for a contest, and if I told you what it calculated out as, I don’t even believe it.
Yeah, it was actually 160 kg in a powerlifting meet, which ends up being like 353 lbs.
Single or double ply? Tank top? Assume you weren’t using straps :-).
That looked more like a lying front barbell raise.
Raw (a tee shirt) with wrist wraps. I think I actually weighed in at 221 for that meet (I was sick for almost the whole week leading up to it, and had hoped to be closer to 230).
As I have cut down in weight, I was managing to actually get stronger on bench (did 385 at 205), until my nerve injury. I am close to recovered now (at least I think). I don’t think 350 is there right now, but benching 150 lbs for 2 months doesn’t help, and getting in the 190s for body weight doesn’t help either.
I kind of understand what you mean, but i am with @RT_Nomad on this one, because bodybuilding is not measurable.
Getting 1st places in shit shows does not mean you have a lot of muscle - it means your genetics are good for looking good in the eyes of judges and you look good in shiny thong.
Bodybuilding is pure genetics, not even actually BUILDING the body. If you have good looking muscles you can be 180lbs shredded and you will be ready to be a king of Instagram, and win some shows even tho there is not much muscle actually built…
Most big guys look like shit at 300lbs even tho they would be 250lbs contest lean, and the amount of lean muscle they KNOW how to put on, would be monstrously larger, but with shit genetics they just dont look like bodybuilders.
So what im trying to say is - most people who are strong, will also know how to BUILD BODY… while most people who win bodybuilding shows, unless heavyweights, most time win because that little amount of muscle they have just happens to look nice.
Not every bodybuilder has actually BUILT BODY as much as strong guys have.
So looking nice in a thong does not always mean we can discuss drug amounts objectively.
Strenght is objective tho.
So lets say someone is 180lbs bodybuilder, but someone else can deadlift 800lbs… I am putting my money on the other guy that he has more muscle, therefore our steroid advice to him would be much different, right?
This matches my experience. I know a strength freak who has done 800 lbs at 6’ tall, and 210 lbs. Dude was shredded at 210 lbs. Mathematically, it isn’t possible that he had less muscle than the 180 lb bodybuilder (unless this individual is about 5’2").
Yea, i mean, it is just a bit more objective… someone very strong is most likely having a lot of muscle… someone placing well in god knows what shows, just doesnt tell us much.
When I see your pic and you are closer to 30%, than 19% I advise you to get your nutrition and training in order before considering AAS.
Sure, you’re entitled to your opinion and you have valid points, and I look friggin stellar in a banana hamock. AAS works for adding muscle. Increased muscle does equate to increased strength, but the differences in training for hypertrophy and strength, if you are specializing one over the other are different. Not going to get into detail on fast twitch, slow twitch, neurological load, etc.Two trains of thought, both are right. Depends on your goals. Mine are purely bodybuilding. I’ve hit some good lifts in my life and have no desire to try to 1RM again, don’t want to risk further injury. Maybe we should ask OPs are you a bodybuilder or power lifter, or something in between. Maybe I can draw a visual analoge scale that we can use, they just have tp draw a line where they fit between the two lol.
