You know the world is in a sad state when the death of a C level celebrity trumps news of war, peace, and the affairs of state which affect the lives of every man women and child on this earth.
It is all over the news. I think it is getting more coverage than Ford’s death. Pathetic.
i’m more than sure that it was drug related…anna nicole was pretty notorious for her wierd public appearances where she was obviously under the influence of something…it’s pretty sad because who knows where her daughter will end up…and it’s still unknown as far as who her biological father is…
This is news because reality shows and slutty behavior by the privileged make people celebrities nowadays. We live in a society that is dumbed down.Whats Paris Hilton’s claim to fame…I’m waiting.
Its still tragic, though, druggie whore or not,she did lose a son last year, overdose is my guess.
Imagine if you can, being a woman so sexy and hot, knowing full well that every guy (most guys)could not hear, understand or really listen to you. All they want to do is fuck you.
Instead, all men (or most men) could do is see her only as a sexual object.
Pamela Anderson is living proof that a few, certain women can live that life. Anna, in my opinion, could not. She grew up as one of the hottest ever and it may have contributed to her death.

I never found her attractive. When I was younger I thought she was a fat chick with nice tits, and she died a skinny-skank-stripper looking chick with nice tits.I’m sorry for her family and friends, but shit happens. I’ve had a few friends die of drug over doses or alcohol related “accidents”. The one thing I’ve learned form their deaths is that they were the only ones to blame. Period.

I don’t agree with that. If you’re weak enough to get addicted to something and then kill yourself with it, you’re asking for it. I don’t sympathize with drug addicts in the least.
Having said that, I do feel sorry for the children left behind. It’s not fair for someone to screw up their own life without thinking of their child.
I wish I was perfect like you. Then maybe life would be so easy.
I don’t claim to be perfect, but I do claim to be better than to fuck up the lives of my family with a substance abuse problem.
Every such vice (addiction to smoking, alcohol, narcotics) is just a weakness that should not be tolerated, let alone pittied. People need to step the fuck up and take responsibility for their actions.
And sorry for the language, but this is a topic I feel strongly about.
Agreed brother! Although I feel that greed was as big of a downfall to her as the drugs. Some people are just not competant enough to handle money without letting it destroy them.

To bad things turned out the way they did… it’s pretty likely she was quite depressed.
Anyway, some of you folks need to ease up a bit. You don’t have to like someone or approve of their actions in order to have some sympathy.

I have sympathy for a person dying. I don’t, however, make her out to be anything other than what she was…a stripper who used her looks and sexuality to get super rich (regardless of how many people she had to step over to get there). I also can’t degrade her for that act alone but along that same line, I can’t shower her memory with respect. If she helped other people with her fame, that can be respected. If, however, her life was lived in excess and all for the sake of her own advancement, how much respect should we give that?
If anything, maybe it will make people think about what will be said about them when they pass. She will forever be “that stripper with the huge breasts who married a rich very old dying dude, got all of his money, flaunted her drug use, had her own reality show which was scientifically proven to make you more stupid by watching and died in a hospital of yet unknown but probably drug related causes”. Is that how YOU would like to be remembered?
Right now, somewhere, there is a stripper making much LESS money while trying to raise kids by herself who probably deserves more respect. Is it wrong to admit that?

Maybe you could give a brief synopsis of just how valuable she was to us as a society and then I will consider some sympathy for her.

She was still a human being leading a sad, tragic life. Isn’t that enough? It’s “news” because she is a famous human being who led a sad, tragic life.
I’d feel the same way for any person in a similar situation. It doesn’t mean I adore them, but it also doesn’t mean I feel relieved or gleeful she’s gone.
Some cold people on here. Let’s all ease up a touch on the tough guy poses.

Yes,it is sad and tragic, and some of these jokes are harsh, but unlike Belushi,Elvis or even Chris Farley, what talent did she have to become a celebrity?Being a playboy model, hustling a 90 year old billionaire, showing how dense she was on a reality show, being fucked up on drugs at a awards show showing her fake tits?I don’t hate her and its more the medias fault for making this flawed character and turning her into a celebrity, but this happens to many druggies everyday and destroys the families who care for them.I wish the media and people who worship celebrity would focus on the downside of people like this and not celebrate the party, drug fueled behavior. But hey, that wouldn’t sell pappers.I hope her daughter turns out alright.
It seems some of you are replying in anger…I don’t exactly understand why or those snappy comments.
I am ambivalent about it, but the reason this gets heavy coverage is because I believe some facet of the media loves to make portrayals of “immoral” people behaving badly (Paris Hilton coverage et cetera) and getting away with it, for a certain time most people live vicariously through it while alternating with disgust, envy, and superiority at said individuals.
About gold digging, it takes two he let it happen. Not only that but as men we are drawn to physical beauty, that is no more shallow than being drawn to someone for financial reasons. We’re still animals, built for surivial/reproduction.

Who made her a celebrity?
I don’t think the media can sell people something that a majority of people don’t want.
Look at reality TV shows which glamourize negative behavior…is it really just the media? Or are they supplying what many people want.
I have to disagree I think the media made her “negative” side pretty well known and through editing and marketing were able to “enhance” and exploit it even further. It’s crafted as a tool almost.

Read all my post, the media wouldn’t “celebtrate” her if people didn’t want to buy or watch dirt on her.It goes hand and with the the media in dumbing down America.Look at most commercials, the male or father figure is usually the dumb goofy clueless person who is schooled by his wife and kids. The media sets the agenda and most people follow it like lemmings.I’m guilty of it,I bought a People mag.last summer to read about Mel Gibsons drunkin foolish behaivor.yes,I’m embarassed about it,I looked around to make sure nobody saw me,it was like buying porn
