Android Tablet Help: Watching .mts Files

Purchased a Lenovo Yoga tablet recently.
I am by all means not a computer guy, so this stuff is all new to me.

I transferred a lot of home videos to my tablet. And they are in .mts file format. But the tablet wont play them. How can I get my tablet to play them?

Is there an app. I can download onto my tablet that will play .mts files?
