My boyfriend is cycling andro for the last time before his supply runs out. I’ve noticed the past year that on andro he’s kind of an ass. Removed, irritable, over-sexed (sorry, baby, know you’ll see this). Generally just very different in personality, like an entirely different person. I realize I won’t have to deal much longer, but can anyone comment on the side effects they’ve experienced . . . I’m trying to separate the monster from the man in support of the cause - his solid bod.

Increased Sex drive
Acene
Balding
Estrogen and DHT
bitch tits
Test
Testicular srinkage
and mood swings.

I doubt it’s the andro, he’s probably just grown a pair.
So here’s what you do. When he’s removed, leave him alone and talk to your girlfriends about your troubles instead. When he’s irritable, tell him to call you when he’s through being pissy and go do something else, or else give him a blowjob that’ll shut him up. That would also help to take care of the oversexed part. If he wants more sex, make sure he satisfies you first and then hop on for the ride.
Or you could go find a nice boy at the coffee shop.

Acene? Test? What? Okay, okay… I’ll give you a break.
Those are some common side effects with androgen use, but most of those usually accompany more high-end regimens, resulting from inappropriate cycling protocols. Not to mention, most andro products don’t have the potency or bioavailability to cause these sides. Chances are, your boyfriend is succumbing to the placebo effect. He thinks the magic pill is going to turn him into a militant, animalistic lunatic; hence, he behaves accordingly. Quite common, actually. I had a friend that ordered some 5-AD from Weider (NOT by my recommendation) and acted like a caveman on PCP for about a week.

When(i was 20) i did an Andro(then legal) supp for a mere two and a half weeks with no other support hormones or anabolics my test did go through the roof and i developed really nasty body acne. I guesss it depends mostly on the body type, but i was speaking from personal expereince.

Nothing. Like i said i was 20, natural hormonal spikes due to age helped me recover just fine. However for acne i had to use Accutane. Which worked like a charm, minimal scaring.

Any prohormone/steroid can have both androgenic effects (male charactoristics increased) and anabolic effects (generally increased muscle mass). The question is he taking the “Mark McGuire ando” (androstenedione - dione not diol)???
For the record, androstenedione tends to have weak anabolic effects and strong androgenic effects. And, in many cases, it has increased estrogen levels more than testosterone! This means he can get increased female charactoristics that include gyno (breast tissue growth) and hip/thigh fat storage.
Lastly, if he is not faking these “symptoms” then there is likely some hormornal imbalances. Unless he is using androstenediol (1AD), he would be advised to stop the “andro” use (androstenedione). Although illegal now, far better prohormones are 1AD, 4AD, and 1-Test (the target hormone of 1AD).

Another thing to consider is the issue of self-control. You can feel angry and aggressive and not act on it. As well as not treat others badly because you may feel angry or aggressive. Seems to me that many use the effects of androgens as an excuse to act out. I am not saying your boyfriend is doing this. I am just not willing to believe that my will power and self control can be overpowered by androgens or anything else.

GREAT point! Its a BS excuse and shouldn’t be tolerated (i.e. chrissy). In the past I have felt over-agressive and caught myself about to say/do something stupid. Rather, using it constructively, I put that much more energy into my lifting. It may be tough for some to handle this side-effect, especially if they have a dominating personality already. But still, they need to control themselves or not use the drug.
