Obama blames his low approval ratings on racism.

On Sunday, The New Yorker released an interview with President Barack Obama in which the president stated that his approval ratings had been suppressed due to racism. ?There?s no doubt that there?s some folks who just really dislike me because they don?t like the idea of a black president,? Obama stated. ?Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I?m a black president.?

Obama: Some People Dislike Me Because They Don't Like That I'm Black [/quote]

It reads to me like he just understands not all of the love/hate has anything to do with his actions, but his skin color.

But this is Obama himself saying this bullshit. Not one of his handlers or propagandists.

How did he come to this conclusion if they elected (and reelected) him ?

If you read Obama"s quote he is acknowledging both ends of the spectrum. Some hate him because and only because of his skin color and on the flip side some love him because and only because of his skin color.

What conclusion? That both types of people exist and vote?

I fail to see how he is saying racism is the reason for his low rate if you read his entire quote.

His quote mentions nothing but his race, in regards to his approval or disapproval. There is no mention of his accomplishments or failures in his quote.

This is a block quote from the article:

Obama’s election was one of the great markers in the black freedom struggle. In the electoral realm, ironically, the country may be more racially divided than it has been in a generation. Obama lost among white voters in 2012 by a margin greater than any victor in American history. The popular opposition to the Administration comes largely from older whites who feel threatened, underemployed, overlooked, and disdained in a globalized economy and in an increasingly diverse country. Obama’s drop in the polls in 2013 was especially grave among white voters. “There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black President,” Obama said. “Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black President.” The latter group has been less in evidence of late.

The reporter brought up race and Obama responded.

Right, that some people like him and some people don’t l because of his skin color. It doesn’t read like an excuse to me. Actually, it is one of the few times I think he hasn’t beatin around the bush and just said what he believes the truth is.

The fact that he admits some people might give him a pass because of his race is particularly telling.

Did you read the actual interview? He was referring to Israel specifically and how long has Israel been a nation? Here’s most of the quote from the actual interview and not a plucked out fragment that lacks context:

“With respect to Israel, the interests of Israel in stability and security are actually very closely aligned with the interests of the Sunni states.” As Saudi and Israeli diplomats berate Obama in unison, his reaction is, essentially, Use that. “What’s preventing them from entering into even an informal alliance with at least normalized diplomatic relations is not that their interests are profoundly in conflict but the Palestinian issue, as well as a long history of anti-Semitism that’s developed over the course of decades there, and anti-Arab sentiment that’s increased inside of Israel based on seeing buses being blown up,” Obama said.

there was never a palestine and there is no such thing as palestinian people until the conflict of our modern time.

a prophecy is mentioned in Ezekiel 38. this chapter predicts that Israel will be invaded by a coalition of nations, including Russia (referred to as Gog in the chapter), Iran (referred to as Persia), ethiopia, libya, and other nations. this invasion will be unsuccessful, according to Ezekiel.

this prophecy is very interesting when one considers the current world stage. currently, russia and iran are closely cooperating to develop nuclear power plants. also notice that there is no explicit mention of iraq or syria in the list of invaders. the recent united states war with iraq may have taken iraq out of the picture.

Why am I not surprised Democrats blocked efforts to not allow Colorado welfare recipients to buy pot with their ill-gotten taxpayer-stolen welfare benefits. Why are they allowed to use EBT cards to withdraw cash which they can then spend on anything?

Dude, watch Colorado catch on fire.

A couple of potheads went into the local mountains here, smoked some weed, and started a 1700 acre fire.

I jest of course, but if you saw these 3 morons, you would think it was a Beavis and Butthead episode.

And we (I mean everyone basically) knew this would be the case. It will be the same thing with our first female president. Some people will dislike her simply because she’s a female and some people will like her simply because she’s a female.

In some ways our 2nd black President or our 2nd female President (at least in theory) may have this a bit less. I think we already saw that with Clinton V. Obama in the Democratic primary. Some Democrats voted against Clinton just because she was a woman and some voted FOR her simply because of that.

What would REALLY interest me (and this would be less so if say Hillary wins the Dem nomination, but let’s assume it’s a male) is if Republicans ran a woman in 2016. Or hell a black man. Then everyone’s head starts hurting! Surely a Republican female candidate (assuming she’s a good candidate of course) carries some female votes that would typically go to a Democrat.

(this should be the part where I talk again how much two party systems suck, but I won’t get into that again right now lol).

As long as they don’t burn Wyoming down. It’s bad enough the EPA is trying to give 1,000,000 acres of Wyoming away to the Wind River Reservation.

I don’t get it, I honestly don’t get it. How on earth can you have the defense that the people using these benefits absolutely NEED these benefits…Then pass a law that basically says they’re allowed to buy drugs with them.

Honestly sometimes I feel like I’m being trolled by society just to confuse the shit out of me. Fucking Red pill

Why can’t we just nominate the best candidate, with experience, intelligence, and common sense ? And not look at what he or she looks like ?

Because the majority of our society are fucking idiots. AND because without the war on women, racism, the war on the poor/income inequality, the people who our media want to win…wont.

or maybe I’m just as ignorant as them…
