Anabolic Doc “Doctor O’Connor”

52 year old male

Cycle 200mg test eth weekly, 25mg daily Anavar.

Started cycle 10/13/25. Stopped Anavar 10/28/25

Hi decided at 52 it’s not worth it to be sticking myself with needles and taking orals that can mess up my lipid panel. I’m sure there is damage everytime I’ve cycle my lipid profile goes out of whack.

I’m going to finish off the rest of the Test for the full 6 week cycle and taper off.

I was thinking about using the Anabolic Doc for a one hour consult to go over my blood work and find out what the best course of action for recovery would be post cycle or if I remain on test what I would need to do to manage my lipid profile.

Has anyone ever consulted with him before and are his services worth it?

Here’s what you do courtesy of bro science and the great place of TNation.

  1. Finish your Test if you want. Wait 3-4 weeks and run a 6-8wk PCT of Clomid or Nolva.
  2. Run a full male hormone test a couple weeks after PCT. TT, FT, E2, FSH, LH, DHT, TSH, A1C. CBC w lipids, CMP. Post your results with no personal info.
  3. Based on results you will have recovered or possibly need TRT.
  4. If recovered carry on with life … if not step 5.
  5. Call Defy Medical or other well known clinic of choice. No strip mall ones. Become a TRT patient with supervised and healthy dosage level of Testosterone. Zero downsides healthwise other than cost and med administration.

Thank you to the two of you. I

I would just add that if you are 52 and still have good, middle of the range test levels (after you do PCT and allow a few months for proper HPTA recovery) then you sir are doing great and should be damn happy! However……I’d venture to say that with the pretty well established statistic of most men having their testosterone levels decline beginning in their early 30s and continue to decline each passing year, at 52 your test levels probably will be below the low end of the range. Now, if that’s the case and you feel full of energy, still have a healthy libido and erectile function, are satisfied with your physique and lean body mass, then you might choose to stay needle free. BUT, if any of those areas are bothering you, if you are feeling run down and low on energy, drive, stamina, etc. then getting on TRT is not that awful. Plus, it’s not that bad, you only have to deal with a needle maybe once a week, and it’s quick and quite painless. But the benefits you reap are worth all that and then some. When I had my levels checked at 42 and saw I was around 175 (range is I believe 300-900, although some ranges are a bit different), and then began taking test 1x a week, it literally was like a night and day difference in every aspect of my life! Lol, not to sound like an infomercial, but my sleep improved, my energy, my drive, my stamina, my ability to still be able to put on lean muscle from lifting weights (not to mention, my aggressiveness to really push it hard and heavy in the gym went up), AND the speed at which I recovered from those workouts all improved dramatically.

Also, if you are worried about your overall health, taking test at replacement dosages is not going to tank your lipids, your HDL/LDL, your liver, etc. *** as long as you are eating healthy, exercising, taking supplements/vitamins, and the like. Extreme dosages of test/steroids and especially oral steroids are what jack up your bloodwork.

I wish you luck regardless of your decision. But listen to the advice @blshaw gave. From what I’ve read, he knows his stuff dude.

My total test was 364, sex hormone binding globulin was 22 and free test 81 right before I started the cycle.

Libido was great, lots of energy, did a 300 mile bike ride in 6 days. Worked out regularly. 90lb dumbbell bench for 6-8 strict reps, 275lbs deadlift- 6-8 with inzer knee wraps (right knee pain), squat is low because of knee, with wraps and belt 275lb 4-6 reps ass to the grass. Without 185 6-8 mostly concentrate on strict hack squats, leg press at different angles and Rogue belt squat
