An All-Time Low in Journalism

Fox News has better rating than CNN CNBC and MSNBC combined. No wonder liberals hate the free market.

Again, you are a student, you literally know nothing.

I wasn’t aware that anyone took keith olbermann seriously.

WELL SAID.

i wasn’t aware people on the PWI actually watched major news networks. for a second i thought we all might be above that.

Janeane Garofalo never finished high school, went into comedy sucked at it, and then went to work at Air America and the whole network went down. She’s a self hating liberal fool.

WOW. You can almost smell the ‘smug’ from your computer screen.

I just don’t know what else to say about that.

But she learned a few words like limbic system and now she’s a genuis, haha!

What exactly is this rating? The amount of people watching it? The Sun, which Mr Murdoch also owns, is the most popular newspaper in the UK but that doesn’t stop it from being uninhibited drivel. Both outlets cater for the lowest common denominator, which unfortunately has “common” in the name for a reason.

I will quite agree with the fact that I know nothing however; anyone who says otherwise is a fool.

Your screen name fits you. You do jabber on quite a bit.
Guys like me and I’m sure others around 40 or so have lived through stuff, like Jimmy Carter. We have seen predictions by guys like Ted Kennedy and other from the liberal side. And we’ve seen them be wrong so often it’s laughable.

Carter screwed off for 444 days while Iran held US hostages, while as soon as Reagan was sworn in they were on a plane.

We have paid taxes, ran businesses and have seen how things work. And I personally find it laughable when college students think they are so worldly and have learned so much about world affairs. Especially when their frame of reference might be 2-4 years that they have paid attention to such stuff.

Now that being said, let’s get back to a free market. Believe it or not if you put out a great product people are smart enough to chose it. McDonalds is fine cuisine but it’s edible and gets to you in 2 minutes.

But they do fulfill their niche pretty well. So does that local steakhouse that n=makes a decent living, but not Mcdonalds money.

But as for news, I don’t see CNN as being so high brow. I remember when the evening news on the major networks in the USA had more substantial reporting. I still think ti was a heavy left wing bias, but it was betetr done.

But as for quality, CNN, MSNBS and CNBC are not on some higher plain than FOX news. it’s amaxing how a liberal thinks that quality equates to lower ratings, hahaha!.

I also work in the health field as a self employed chiropractor. I have a degree in biology from Penn State University and my chiropractic degree from Palmer. That’s 8 years of psot graduate work. And I was done 21 years ago.

I learned a lot more in the last 21 years from working than all of those years in school.

Haha, Now you guys know how us liberals feel when we hear Ann Coulter. I’m sure you guys dismiss a lot of what Coulter says as having a “nugget of truth” and ignore the batshit crazy portion.

Garofalo was trying to piss you off. Seems like she succeeded pretty well.

Meaning no disrespect, but life teaches everyone a different lesson, 50 years old here , been my own boss for the most part of the last 25 years I think for the Republic or the Democratic Republic to work correctly we have to have swings from liberal to conservative or we lose a balance

Piss me off? Ha! She made a ludicrous spectacle of herself. Like I said, I thought it was funny.

And Garofalo is no left wing version of Coulter because whereas they both are inflammatory Coulter is actually an intelligent person.
Funny stuff thanks

Yeah, I don’t think they’re analogs, but both seem to leave the other side asking “do people really think this way, or is this a joke?”

There is truth to that. Our system was designed with checks and balances so we don’t move to the whims of public opinion to fast. When I have question, I refer back to the constitution and what the founding fathers wrote. They were very concerned with the growth of government and concentrating to much power in Washington.

For me, low taxes and less regulation, keeping my guns and not aborting babies can’t really be taken to extreme. but high taxes, abortion, government confiscation of weapons, and onerous regulation taken to extreme is very dangerous and would end up in tyranny.

For an example, I’m not for banning books, but I do appreciate rating labels on music and video games and movies since I do not have the time to watch or read everything my kids might want. I have video games, books and movies some people would call objectionable. still have the freedom and choice, but parents can be informed.

But you must remember government is made up of people. These people are no better or smarter than a guy like me. and when they decide how I live and how much money i can have from what I earn, I get enraged.

I have seen a lot of liberals complains about “giving” tax breaks to the “rich”. Like the government owns a person’s property. the correct wording should be we need to take more money from the “rich”. but that kind of language would send a different meaning now, wouldn’t it?

Coulter does get annoyig sometimes but most of the time she backs up her arguements with facts. Lie the time she was on “the View” and pissed them off with her comments on single moms. The comments she made were factual, kids from single mother homes are more likely to have messed up lives BUT since Whoopie Goldberg doesn’t like those facts she blasted Ann.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I’m not going to let this slide. You watch The View?

Hahaha! I have read a little of Coulter and some of what I read has been backed up by facts. She’s caustic for sure, but so are many liberals. but I really don’t care how harsh the message is from anyone if they can back it up.

…And here I thought the protest was about blank check bailouts. Then again, what the hell do I know. On a side note I was somewhat taken aback by this: 10 Most Offensive Tea Party Signs And Extensive Photo Coverage From Tax Day Protests (PHOTOS) | HuffPost Latest News
found it when I googled tea parties.

Not that I really give a shit, (I love freedom of speech as much as the next guy) just thought it was in bad taste.

No. No she doesn’t. That flaming thundercunt does nothing of worth, and just makes shit up to inflame people and piss them off.

She’s like the Sean Avery of politics, except she never has to drop her gloves. It’s ridiculous.

And I don’t like Garafolo. She’s every bad quality about our side all wrapped up in one person. Rarely does she make any good points or good movies, so I guess I could call her a flaming thundercunt too. Ironically though, I think she’s even more pretentious than coulter.
