American iggnorance

cliffhanger - This should go in the “Vocabulary lesson” thread, but it applies to your last post. The reason why Patricia pointed out that “iggnorance” was an incorrect spelling of “ignorance” is, get ready for this, irony. While you might expect that someone would not want to look ignorant and misspell ignorant, it is ironic that Jerome did so.

dcb- I’ve experienced the same “phenomenon” with beer. To drink Heninken here is like drinking salt water(to me, yes, some people may like it). Now, when I was in europe(particularly Amsterdam and Germany), I was drinking Heninken like there was no tomorrow, and I’ll state that it’s the best beer I’ve ever drank. Maybe Magnus could tell me if he’s had Nova Scotia’s finest, Keiths, and tell me how it is in Ontario

cliffhanger: my name is spelt with an “r”. :-)))))

<------Take note.

to all the people who wish to point out my spelling and grammer mistakes, fuck you. are you such losers that you have nothing else to do?

To dcb: good point, I forgot all about our strip joints. They’re great, total nudity, lesbian shows, showers and unlike in many states, you can order a beer. I’m not really that big on the lap dances though. There’s something kind of pathetic about paying a girl to grind on you when inside she thinks your a creep. Kinda like buying a prostitute. How could someone pay a woman to have sex with him knowing she really does’nt want to and is just doing it for the cash.
To Jared nfs: I can remember that show starting when I was about 12 and I’m 35 now, so I guess it’s been around for about 23 years or so. Is it still even on anymore?
To Alex Stoddard: Keith’s has only been in Ontario a couple of years and while I’ve had it a couple of times, I’ve never had one out east. A few friends who went to school out east (St. Fx, St Mary’s, Mount A) and have tried it here and claim it’s different.

Mmmmmmmm…Lesbian shows and beer…

I am one proud Canadian!

Getting in late on this thread . . . at least it’s good to know that Canada is well known for at least two things in the US - strippers and beer (and thank god for both).

Magnus made a great point about the American media’s influence on the Candian people. (We could reciprocate if we produced better programming than “Davinci’s Inquest”). Hell, even Candian programming teaches us about our souther neighbours (there’s that funky ‘u’ again). I would wager that a greater percentage of Canadians know the lyrics to the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ than Americans do - due to countless evenings watching ‘Hockey Night in Canda’.

Brider: Where the hell do you know about sprint cyclist/Pert shampoo endorser Curt Harnett from? I grew up in Thunder Bay, and got to watch him work out once. His legs were about as big as my waist - and was squatting some ridiculous amount of weight (like six or seven plates aside) at the time with relative ease.

Yeah Paticia, stop makin fun of are grammer. Were all edumacated peoples hear
