I’ve been on TRT for almost 1.5 years now. My endo sucks and does nothing but looks at my T levels every 3 months. I can finally see him every 6 months now. He doesn’t check too much in terms of blood work or anything else. I tried finding others in my area but had no luck. I talked to him about adding HCG and he refused. After much persistence he agrees but only to stop T and take HCG at thousands of mics per week. I agree and stock up on HCG and tell him I prefer staying on T so I’m back on T with him. Ive been microdosing HCG for 10 months now.
I know many are having issues so I’m not complaining but looking to optimize and prevent any long term negative effects. Since adding Hcg I’ve been doing daily injections of 100mcg of HCG and 6mg of T. My T levels have been slightly high on Labcorp. My last blood work was done 4 hours after trough and still came back at 1052ng/dl. My last test a few months ago was at 671 because I lowered my dose and went longer after trough to get labs so doc doesn’t change dosing. My prescribed dose is 150mg/week. If I take that dose divided over 7 days im sure my numbers will get wild.
One issue I was having was PE and I suspected it was due to my estrogen so I got on some Dim/calcium d-glucarate daily and that improved.
Some questions I have are:
Does daily injections with lower amounts keep t levels higher as opposed to a higher dose less frequently?
Anyone recommend I do anything differently since my doc definitely won’t? This week I switched to 10mg of T and 125mcg HCG eod. I’m over injecting daily.
Any advice and constructive criticism is appreciated. I’ve attached my labs.
The doc only tested sbgh before starting t and it was at 38. I’ll request that moving forward.
As to my alkaline phosphatase I’m unsure why but I have labs from 2018 and it’s always been low way before starting TRT. I’ve also been on a low carb diet for a long time. I was 225 at my highest and now down to 185. I have a cheat day or 2 a week.
I take daily:
Black seed oil
Fish oil
Lysine
Multivitamin (30mg zinc total)
Biotin (Labcorp wants this discontinued 72hrs before testing T)
Magnesium
Coq10
Red yeast rice
Dim/calcium d-glucarate
