Alpha or Hippie?

I think that we can get a very good idea of how it was by looking at the Native Americans lifestyle. Some Native American tribes were strictly hunter gatherers. There were obviously tribes that had special farming techniques, but the first Native Americans to reach America would have been prior to the farming boom the Author describes.

In my opinion it is easy to look at Native Americans and get a pretty good idea of how groups of people would have coexisted in a fairly large group prior to the farming boom.

When looking at Native Americans it becomes clear that there were a variety of ways that these tribes worked and operated. Most of them had a Chief though. Actually men in different important roles. But, a Chief was normally there if I am not mistaken.

So a group of people migrated to the Americas prior to the end of the Ice Age 11,500 years ago. Prior to the “farming boom” across Earth because of the end of the Ice Age. It had to take these people a very long time to spread out across the Americas and settle in. I would think that their tribes structure would not change much during this time, because it had been working for them.[/quote]

Ah, yes, the Noble Red Man. But for the evil white man, I would be peacefully hunting buffalo right now.

Or, in reality, I could take you to the valley on the Mescalero reservation that is filled with the bones of Zuni my tribe slaughtered for some unknown reason, but probably because we were bigger, meaner, had mastered the bow, and wanted their shit.

That was 1000 years ago and if I go to Albuquerque, the Zunis at Home Depot still freak out and run to the back of the store. THAT’s an ass-whipping.

Have a couple of tribal splinters too, where we burned opposing Apache tribes up alive.

And Comanche? Fuck we killed each other for 2,000 years before white men showed up. I couldn’t get laid in the State of Oklahoma to save my life, the hatred still runs so deep.

But of course, we were environmentalists. For example, we used a whole lot of the buffalo we would get into a stampede in order to drive them, en masse, over a cliff. “Buffalo Drop” near Lincoln is named such for a reason.

Seriously, I am not Mr. P.C., but the Liberal Hollywood B.S. of Native Americans being anything different than everyone else on this world is annoying as shit.

Hasn’t anyone watched 2001: A Space Odyssey?

I’m not a Native American, but i fully agree that the “white washing” of history is insulting and dangerous.

Boring.

It sure is. But, evolution, both physical and social is slow… and boring.

It’s condescending, and typical of the soft racism of liberals.

Here’s the thing:

We do know that paleolithic women slept with many partners because the penis evolved its shape to squeegee out other males’ sperm. We also have larger dicks than other primates for our body size, so as to get closer to the cervix than the next guy. Our sperm evolved all types of weaponry to do battle with other sperm armies in a woman’s body. This would seem to support your theory on the surface… but we don’t know if this was voluntary promiscuity, or forced gang-bang, though (or voluntary gang bang?).

I don’t think all of the jealousy, possessiveness, and rivalry magically cropped up in the relatively short neolithic phase. I think we have been battling other males for women the whole time, and when one man proved too strong, several of us got together, killed him, and ran the train on his woman while we held an alliance. Lions do this. Gorillas do this. These alliances became tribes and tribes became nations. Nations still do this (invading russian soldiers in germany post WW2).

Humans don’t change all that much.

We “know” or we “suspect” this may be the case?

Choose your verbs wisely.

Well all facts are just theories yet unproven. It is highly suspected, though, that if an organism has a part of itself that functions in a highly specific way, then at some point it was necessary for that organisms survival. Of course evolution itself is just a theory as well so… who the fuck knows.

Right! In the study where this theory originated did not specify if the man in the sexual observation was circumcised or not(that I quickly skimmed through). When the penis is on it’s outward stroke from the vagina wouldn’t the skin go back over the head and become streamlined? Wouldn’t this trap any semen between the head and covering skin, then on the inward thrust be pushed back up into the vagina?

Also for thousands of years man has been circumcised yet they still are being circumcised today. If the excess skin on the penis is obviously not needed for the survival of the species, then why is it still there on birth just to get cut off?

Because a) a few thousand years are nothing from an evolutionary point of view b) it has not proved to be detrimental either.

I don’t think that the head is shaped like a squigee. I think the rim is for more accurate aim and to keep us from peeing on our thumbs. No woman from any period wants to mate with pissythumbs guy.
Thats just my intuitive non-scientifical take on it.

I surely thought this thread would have enticed SexMachine out of hiding… I am still disappointed.
