Anyone have cologne recommendations? I never wore cologne until recently because I considered it effeminate. Still do. But there’s science behind it; memory centre of the brain activated, aphrodisiac qualities etc. And women like it and I like to please. I particularly like the wood spice / citrus / cinnamon fragrances I’ve tried and a leather fragrance called cuir 28. I like unusual fragrances. They make you stand out from the crowd. And if you’re the only guy wearing an unusual fragrance it’s going to be planted in the memory centre of anyone you exude your odour to. I remember back in the day some of my mates liked one called Fahrenheit. I liked it too but didn’t wear it. Don’t think it’s available anymore.

A person interested in pheromones like you are, I would highly recommend Christian Dior Eau Savage. Look up the research done on it.

What a load of shit. You’re hardly the stoic you’ve claimed to be. The "high value"women could be a porn star, and the more rotund one could be employed in a position of great value. To equate a women’s inherent worth with her physical appearance is frankly ludicrous.

I was a stoic; I’m now an epicurean. I was religious; I’m now an existential nihilist. Sorry for any confusion.

Nice one, thanks. Any idea how long it takes to have its supposed effect? Immediate? 5 mins? 10?

I’m at a loss here. What’s “unmanly” about wearing Toms? They’re comfortable, great for driving in, nice in hot weather etc. Should I be wearing steel toed kicker boots to the beach? Will that make me more manly?
Oh for fuck’s sake, that is about as unmanly a set of footwear as I have ever seen.
I’m so Alpha I had to google “toms”

I don’t recall saying they were “manly”. And for the third time, I have no idea what everyone is on about. Half a dozen posters just started taking the piss out of my shoes for being “not alpha” and “unmanly”. Honestly, find something else to take the piss out of. I’ve given you all plenty of material to work with here.

Um, yeah.

I’d never heard of Toms until this thread. And now I’ve just seen them. Not terribly impressed.

They look like the cheap Chinese “Kung Fu” shoes you can get for five hundred yen (about four bucks) here.

Well, when close enough, it should be as quick as a visual would. Pretty much immediate. I would think

I agree. Those are almost as bad as a shoe designer taking some high heels and calling them men’s shoes.

Machine, if you want to wear a canvas slip on, go with vans or sperrys.

If you want a driving shoe, go with a leather driving moccasin. Leather, like the gloves should be.

I got a bottle this afternoon. I must say I’m highly sceptical. If it’s actually effective then someone has discovered the fucking holy grail. And surely it would be selling like hotcakes. Still, it’s a nice scent.

The soles are much better and grip well but apart from that they are essentially the same as Kung fu slippers. Never heard anyone call Kung fu slippers “unmanly” though. But really, you fellas have too much time on your hands if you’re talking about my shoes for pages on end.

I was fighting against it within myself with you as proxy. I think you’ll find I’m less socially conservative now too as a result.

I think the whole pheromone thing is bullshit for humans. We’re visual, social and status creatures. Just don’t smell bad and you’ve got a chance. If you want to play the scent game to your odds, figure out what was popular when the girls you are after were about 5 years old because that’s what their daddy’s might have worn. The girls will associate that scent with comfort, love and trust.

Off the top of my head, if the age group you are targeting is 50, use Old Spice or Aqua Velva. 30, use Fahrenheit. 18 years old, use Axe Body Spray. I’m sure you playas can refine it a lot better than that.

Funny, I heard somewhere, maybe on this site, the best scent to catch a man is (something like) baked cinnamon bread. LOL I guess it works both ways. We’re all a bunch of mommas boys and today is a good day to remember that!
