Not only have I broke down this utter bullshit you keep posting in this thread, I have linked multiple charts, you know collection of actual data, that show, even if your Mitt comparison weren’t utter bullshit, which it is, he is a statistical outlier, and the vast majority of those people you hate for being rich actually pay a whole shit load more than you.

The fact I expect you to understand any of this is the truly baffling part. I’m an idiot for expecting you to actually evolve on the issue in the presence of factual evidence, but you define what the Franfurt-esk loudmouths mean when they say “useful idiot”.

lol, yes, me posting charts of information taken from the IRS is JUST like “let media debate”…

Put the bong down. If you had any idea how little credence I pay media talking heads you would feel foolish for posting this drivel.

Not sure if you said it earlier but where are you getting these numbers from?

Lamb chop , what do you think is so difficult to understand ?

Beans has posted chart after chart, and rule after rule that proves you COMPLETELY wrong.

Over and over you are proven wrong.

And yet, you still cling to your ridiculous 14 cent comment that has no basis in fact.

I usually have your back regarding the whole weed thing, but I think you need to cut back a little bit in the smokey smokey.

Two man enter, one man leave.

You say math does not exist in my world because I do not agree with you that tax code = math

In Pitt’s world tax code = smoke and mirrors

I know John Stewart is not “UNBIASED”

[quote]pittbulll wrote:

Pitt’s world is factually incorrect, and Pitt couldn’t find a single chart based on facts and circumstances to back up Pitt’s assertions.

Therefore, Pitt’s world is a delusion.

You and Jon need to spend some serious time researching current foreign reporting pronouncements.

I have, because it is my job. And that being said… He’s pretty off base here.

Not that I expect either of you to actually list a single “loophole” as described in this cute little graphic.

Three observations about dividend income. One, the initial investment more than likely came from ordinary income that was taxed at ordinary income rates. Secondly, there is significantly more risk in earning income through dividend distribution. Lastly, some of those dollars invested become jobs that pay ordinary income.

Once we head down this road we start talking about phantom income too, which conceptually is really going to blow people’s minds.

Anyone with a 401k has this issue, it is just deferred.

Beans you miss my point, I know the reason accountants make good money is because to make the tax code work for you is not easy.

I have been filling out tax forms since 1972 and I was evading taxes before that  My point is you should not have to be an accountant to understand every aspect of the tax code . If it is too murky or difficult to understand it will only raise the suspicions in cynics like me .

All i know is I paid %28 in taxes and I heard it from Mitt’s own lips that he paid %14

I am not mad at you for evading taxes, but how can you shit on people who are doing the very same thing you are/have ?

IMO, finding any way to reduce the amount of taxes one pays is fucking heroic.

To be fair to Pitt, before 1986 it wasn’t really evading. You could be much more creative back then. As the old dogs put it, “Reagan took the fun and play out of taxation.”

Agreed. Fuck the IRS

I understand we have to pay taxes for services, but seeing the level of fuckery with how our taxes are spent, I don’t feel compelled to pay more whether it’s to go for another stupid war, or some social program with stunning failure.

Dr. Ben Carson had a great quote regarding taxes, (I am paraphrasing here), but he spoke about why paying taxes had to be painful.

If our tax money was spent more responsibly, where we could see our money put in the hands of people who know how to actually fix problems, the government would not need to throw sketchy and shady tactics into raising taxes.

I see an unprecedented level of corruption and stupidity (with both parties) when it comes to our taxes, I can’t imagine why we should give these people more money to cause more mischief.

Ben Carson says some things I agree with, but is also a pretty big hypocrite when compared to his book where he talks about all the things the government did that helped him growing up. Makes it hard for me to buy some stuff he says even if I agree with what he is saying now.

I do agree with a lot of what he says it just is hard to buy with some of the stuff he talks about in his book (which is good, don’t get me wrong, very enjoyable read.)

I am personally betting we would agree on almost all the GOV wastes , I think the disagreement would be the austerity . I think we need a safety net and public health care . I don’t think those are our problems .

You don’t think the pyramid schemes of social security and medicare/cade are our problems. You do know that in a few years they will be larger than the entire current government budget, right?

When I started paying my taxes and insurance policies , it was called Social Security INSURANCE. Back in the JOHNSON ADMIN. they started borrowing money from it . After the point came where it was not feasible to pay it back they started calling it a tax .

It will probably be one of the largest thefts in American history , if they pull it off .

The average person puts in something like 150K and takes out 320K. It would go bankrupt without any of the borrowing. They take from 2 people to give to one previous one. Also known as a pyramid scheme. If a company did the same thing, the people who ran it would end up en jail.
