Weight 207.5 - seems the missing ingredient was McDonald’s, had a little in between meal snack on two burgers, made some weight gains, went back for breakfast next day.
In other news I’m going to try and squeeze in the missing session tomorrow but will end up missing out ohp - then life is forcing me me on a full deload - I’m on holiday with the family and I was planning on using the gym at the place we’re going (hotel spa type so would have been compromised sessions) but the gyms shut. This is why I don’t normally do deloads, life usually throws them in there somewhere for me.
Restarting this wave because I finished half way through a week, why not restart that week you ask, because it’s 5rm deads on week two…so I opted to restart the wave and push it on for another week.

Week off with no training and below average eating (calories not quality that wasn’t too bad apart from the Krispy Kremes). Definitely lost weight and got slightly fatter in the process.
Pauses were more significant today, I didn’t record them (cos I’m afraid of the internet form police bullying me) - but I know because the immense Doms in my hamstrings that wasn’t delayed at all, the pressure was seriously intense, particularly on the volume sets, painfully so. Walking will hurt tomorrow.
I’ll let you know tomorrow, but right now heavy (relative here, not exactly heavy by strong standards!) Paused Sumo dls with a decent pause!
Also John Meadows reactive hypertrophy had a real fun pump to start leg day which I can’t remember well enough to describe but involved a tonne of hamstring curls - pretty sure doms was achieved from memory!
I went on a weekend break with friends this weekend.
But I found a great PAYG gym down the road. Our friends couldn’t believe I got up early door to go train Sunday morning.
But my wife told them - “He’s not happy other wise”. And its true. If I can’t work out - its not a holiday for me. Exercise is my happy place.
It’s funny, I love training and I was a little gutted the gym onsite where I was staying was shut, but once I was on holiday I was glad to just properly chill out, didn’t even think about it and getting back today I was considering putting it off till tomorrow, glad I didn’t though.
On and off 7 years. But I’ve never really managed more than 18months in a row with out something stopping me. Until now. This is my longest uninterrupted run.
Hammi soreness after not training em for a while is pretty brutal. Like anything isa not so bad after training em consistently for a bit which I don’t lel
I used to be like that when I was in my 20s, since restarting in my 30s I’ve been a lot more consistent, only the odd week off for holidays or injury. Strangely enough I’m bigger and stronger now than in my 20s funny how that works!
14.8/204 - my body hates holding weight, but I look just as fat if not fatter, it clearly doesn’t care where I lose the weight from. Holiday cleared my head though to various different areas of my life where I’m just being a tool (particularly finances) so cleaning those up will involve meal prep for the week, which should in turn improve my diet.
