Just wanted to get a few good opinions about drinking while on cycle. Im not talking about binge drinking and getting sloppy. Just a few cold beers here and there.
My experience with drinking while cycling has been ok, but be ready to bloat. You??ll retain a lot of water if you drink! Also, if you can avoid drinking it would be best for your liver and overall results.
A buddy of mine told me that only an idiot would consume alcohol while cycling due to the fact that alcohol will weaken the body, hinder results and creating potential damage to the liver. So, I guess I must have been an idiot during my cycle a couple of times.

Not sure how true it is but I have been told that Guinness has a lot of vitamins and minerals in it as well as a little protein.
Anyway, several beers will not kill you during a cycle. That being said, it will not help much either. If you are using orals a couple beers every night would not be wise. I try to stay away from the 4+ beer nights as they turn into 10+ beers nights and have an impact on my training and recovery.
The only time I don’t drink very much is when I use orals, which is almost never. I drink usually 2-3 beers everyday… Unless I’m in the mood for a sipper of some rye that is.

You’re better off drinking on cycle than off cycle (unless, as has been said, you are taking orals).
That said, alcohol may mess with your estrogen levels and will tend to make you feel worse the next day, affecting your sleep quality, diet, body composition and training.
It’s all a trade-off. You have to decide what is important to you. If you are training for a contest, I’d say just about any amount of alcohol is off limits. If your goals are not so lofty, a few beers are definitely not going to destroy your life.
However, as 2thepain said, “a few beers” is usually code for between 6 and 12, in the same way as “she has a nice personality” doesn’t really mean what the words say.
exactly what I was thinkling…“a few beers” for me is 1 or 2 a month…for someone else 6 or 7 per weekend…still others???
Others may disagree, but for me the outside factors (alcohol use, partying, drugs) that sometimes are associated with the BB lifestyle are more dangerous to you in the long-run that the AAS use. PCT time is even more dangerous!
If you know you are harming your body with exogenous drugs why will you double hammer it with alcohol, narcotics and staying up late.
There’s a million reasons why, but I just don’t drink. My training is way too important to me and I haven’t stepped onstage in almost 3 years now. Course then again, I spent most of those in a warzone… not a lot of time to drink there obviously…
But yeah, since being back for almost a year a half I think I’ve consumed less than 2 cans of beer. And that’s been it. It probably has something to do with the fact I dipped like crazy overseas and struggled to break that addiction, so I guess subconsciously I don’t want to be forced into a similar position.
The main thing for me is discipline. Drinking isn’t part of it.

I’ve heard alcohol will raise estrogen levels in any environment.
I hear what your saying world, i think the last beer i had was around 2 years ago on a trip to vegas and i think i only drank half of that.
I see so many guys at the gym who obviously drink heavy at the weekend and for years they have been crap, and in years to come, they will probably still be crap.
No offence to those who like a drink but it aint good for you - you wouldnt have 5-6 ciggarettes on a saturday night now would you
